To use the addon linker, I need to move a second file and link that as well? Which file is this? July 2, 20214 yr I have the steam version of MFS2020. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, this mod will create a folder under the users\USERNAME\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator structure with the name $PC$ . I always assumed this is where the compiled assets ended up ? Plus it will create a second physical folder in community if I remember correctly. Edited July 2, 20214 yr by mobeans10 Clarity

This great addon which was perfectly working in P3D, doesn't work for me in MSF. We are some users like that. No ship in Suez, Panama,Gibraltar, the Channel, Hong Kong etc. I sadly put it off my community folder. Which file is this? you start with one file , gaist_msfs_v1, you can asap put that into your own communityfolder and use the linker. now the ships are going to be converted if you meet them, and a new file is created in msfs communityfolder. this file contains the converted ships, it has no json yet, you can add one and edit it tho. so that file can be moved to your community file, add the json, and it can be linked, if i fly inland i dont need the shipping. ofcourse you can let that file just sit in the msfs communityfolder. hope its a bit clear

No ship in Suez, Panama,Gibraltar, the Channel, Hong Kong etc. I sadly put it off my community folder. I just checked the Panama Canal area and found many ships near both the Atlantic and Pacific entrances (in the Canal itself some do not show up because all ships in this add-on are rendered at sea level, and parts of the Canal, of course, are locks which are not at sea level). I also found numerous ships at Gibraltar, Hong Kong, and Suez. The English Channel is LOADED with ships -- they are all over the place! You may already know this, but two things to note. When you move your plane to a new area, by teleporting for example, it takes a while for the ships to show up (this is easily monitored on Little Nav Map). Secondly, this add-on is very dynamic and follows actual ship schedules; therefore what you see changes with the clock. All of my above sightings were made around mid-day in each area. July 2, 20214 yr So anyone have any idea what's in the $PC$ directory. Looks like a list of ship assets. I can't be the only one who has this ?
July 3, 20214 yr Its really too bad none of the shipping AI working on any water thats above sea level. Wish Asobo would fix that. Ron Hamilton "95% is half the truth, but most of it is lies, but if you read half of what is written, you'll be okay." __ Honey Boo Boo's Mom

If not, try that and go back to Panama and check. Bernard CPU = 12900K / GPU = Nvidia 3090 VRAM 24 GB / RAM = 64 GB / SSD = 2 TB 980 PRO PCle 4.0 NVMe™ M.2,

I also had stock traffic only before I made the change, two days ago I had four ships moving in and out of Fort de France in the bay (one cruise ship, one cargo and one container ship as well as one military, and the day before a magnificent Festival Cruises Elation docked next to the runway at San Juan Porto-Rico (TJIG). July 3, 20214 yr Thanks for the answers. I did everything that is recommended by the dev and other simmers. And tweaked to the death all the traffic parameters 😃. 10 hours ago, cobalt said: it takes a while for the ships to show up (this is easily monitored on Little Nav Map). Define « a while » 😉. Last time I flew from Calais and sort of did an AWACS dance over the Channel for a few minutes. LNM doesn’t show any maritime traffic ( option is on). Yes, it definitely depends on the time of day. Some areas don't have any shipping during nighttime, I found.
