March 14, 20224 yr I am so enjoying this mod! I had a faint hope I'd see a ship sailing up the river Parrett to the wharf at Dunball. 😂 No joy so far but I live in hope. Superb stuff.

March 15, 20224 yr Regards to the trouble some experience I tend to think at this point that it is not a real conflict issue, but more an overload issue with the amount of AI traffic. Too early to say if it is the issue, but comments like the one from Pete indicates that the solution is to be searched for in that area. Please keep the comments flowing both from those where it works and those were it doesn't and please add specifications and key display settings and also which other AI traffic - ship or plane you use, as it can give hints to the cause and thereby solution.

I mentioned that with all of the Seafront packages loaded plus your new BETA I could not get a flight to load. The flight I was trying to load EACH time was from Shoreham airport EGKA. This happens every time but after reading your latest post i turned on all of the shipping packages and was able to load a flight from Madrid (not too much shipping around Madrid) and the flight loaded normally. I left all settings as they were and tried to load out of Shoreham again and MFSF froze part way through loading the flight. All Ultra settings, shipping set at 10%. No other 3rd party AI add ons loaded except for the Seafront packs previously mentioned. Turned shipping down to 5% and still Shoreham would not load. Hope that helps? Yes, it does - combined with comments on other forums it really seems to indicated an overload issue rather than a real conflict. The time the problem occur seems to be when the simulator loads the AI traffic, air and sea traffic. With the traffic bgls included in Seafront + GAIST + AIG + eventual others. there is a lot of calculation of positions going on. We know from previous versions of the package and the sim that there could on some computers be a measurable time delay when loading the traffic - it was reduced in later versions of the sim, but the new version of GAIST have many more routes and Seafront have also increased their traffic. Why does it happen to some and not to others... computer specs, other programs installed and running at the same time etc. I have as mentioned above an idea about a simple fix, but we will test first and only be able to publish next month. But for now my recommendation would be before a flight to chose which AI traffic you want to have present and simply deactivate others - so if you want to se the GAIST ferries to Friday Harbor turn of the others, if you want to fly from Frankfurt to Vienna move GAIST to a temporary folder outside the sim... Don't have twenty other things running on the computer while starting up the sim.... For some it might not be enough - I have mentioned elsewhere that GAIST alone includes thirty thousand ship movements, but I realised I forgot the repetition factor on shorter routes and in reality the number of ship movements might be more than double. For those confident enough manipulating inside scenery packs and mostly flying in one region an alternative can be simply to go into the scenery folder in GAIST and remove irrelevant traffic bgls. They are named according to region e.g Traffic_Ships_US_West_xxxx.bgl so it should be possible to identify what is relevant to you. Next with e.g. layoutgenerator you recompile the layout.json and you will have reduced the load a lot.
March 15, 20224 yr It is working now. Gaist v1 was in a subfolder. Many, many thanks to Henrik and team! Mike
March 15, 20224 yr Unfortunately it's a no go for my system: MSFS hangs repeatedly on loading flight, and in-flight (A32NX FWB dev version). I had to remove it from my community folder. Absolutely no probs with previous versions of the add-on (no other add-on for ships traffic installed). Will try again next release. March 16, 20224 yr Hi fellow Simmers, I've flown around Oz, Now England, there is lots of shipping. Downloaded the new version of GAIST, I see lots of Wake, but am yet to see any smoke from the Stacks????? I thought it may have been just around Oz but flying north up the coast of England out at sea away from the coast, I still see No Smoke. I am also using the purchased version form ORBX of Global vessels, would this be having some effect on my problem. I've seen two pink chequered ships one off the coast of Perth and Sydney, appears to be same vessel, in Oz also. I deleted the old V2 and any CVT. Should I get a fresh download and reinstall GAIST? Regards Brian BJ from Oz

Obviously the wake i was seeing was from the ORBX copy of vessels. Love it, this would have to be some of the best work I have come across in MSFS. Congratulation's Henrik on a fantastic product.
