It' simply to reduce interference with stock ai ships, which will be enroute in higher numbers with higher settings. BTW the recommended setting is 10% with this new beta version. March 27, 20224 yr Sorry for the long absence and lack of replying to comments, but I have had to focus on real life issues. I am going through feedback here and on other sites to try to deduct patterns as it appears that this works perfectly for some and not at all for others. Below a 10 min timelapse of a full day with traffic from GAIST and AIG combined seen from the Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont Airport by my good friend Paulo Ricardo. The video is done by OlivierQC.

My old man used to get us them when on a long journey to shut us up! Happy days!😀 Off topic - if you don't have any luck on eBay, try Abebooks. If you're not aware of them (lots of folk aren't) they're a purely secondhand book site, although you can get new stuff there as well. March 27, 20224 yr Henrik, Is the freeze problem after clicking "fly" a known problem and is there a solution for this?? Edited March 27, 20224 yr by hansb57 I9-14900K, Gigabyte B760 Aorus Elite AX, RTX 4080, 32 ram.1 tb nvme M.2 SSD, MSFS 2020 on 2 tb nvme m.2 SSD
March 27, 20224 yr 23 minutes ago, hansb57 said: Henrik, Is the freeze problem after clicking "fly" a known problem and is there a solution for this?? It is a known issue - it only happens for some and actions like cleaning, expanding or deactivating roaming cache has helped some; reducing traffic to 5% has helped others, turning online functionality off, and turning off other background software helped others... While some reported conflicts with eg AIG there is no inherent conflict, which can also be seen in the video posted a few hours back. It very much seems to be an issue of heavy load of bgl based traffic, which corresponds with some error reports posted. The traffic was increased approx 30-40% in the last version... Why does it happen to some and not others.... settings, computer specs, other add-ons installed, even other software running in the background. We have on a lower end computer managed to recreate the problem and removing it by some of the steps above, but we can not yet conclude, however it consistently appears to appear on load either loading a new flight or changing time / plane inside the game. This corresponds to earlier observations, where we could see a difference in load time based on the number of bgl files present. On my own high end computer I can simply not recreate it. I will proceed to purchase a lower spec computer this week to continue testing. Edited March 27, 20224 yr by KL791
March 27, 20224 yr So does the in-game ships slider affect the number of ships we see with GIAS? Can we not just set it to Zero?

Beautiful video. It does show some of the Asobo AI shortcomings though (disappearing, appearing, spinners, ect.). James
