Henrik Nielsen's Global AI Ship Traffic for MSFS

Beautiful.

One thing I’m wondering. What is the argument for using the payware Seafront global shipping? Are the models better and/or more native to MSFS? Better night lighting?

The reason not to use this product is obvious - other than cost, there’s around 20 models (I think) rather than 1600.

I actually own and have used both on many occasions (have had GAIST for a long while now), I’m just not an expert so am wondering from a technical perspective whether there’s any way(s) in which Seafront is more advanced.

I use GAIST all of the time and have used the free version of seafront simulations (channel islands) which just seems to populate marinas with small craft from what I can tell.

I like both, but so far have been unwilling to pay for seafront simulations

One of the new features with the real time traffic is actually that we will populate also marinas, fishing harbors, and harbors - we are still working on the "sorting" of the generic boats so they will be specific to each region. As you can see in the picture below we are not there yet, but getting closer.

Looks excellent.  I'm really looking forward to seeing this soon.

Oh nice! I'd rather have your work and write off SeaFronts as a lose and save some space. Thanks for your work!

I have been flying around testing a bit tonight and have to say that with the help of Kai and the Fleetmon team we are extremely close to fulfilling a long time dream about having real shipping in the simulator - below ships anchored off Santos in Brazil today. Devil is in the detail and we still have things to add and correct, but honestly I never imagined we would get to this point.

That is a fabulous picture. Worthy of a naval sim, let alone a flight sim. Well done - keep up the great development work. 👍

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

I'm gutted that I can't use this. GAIST causes the 40% hang on loading a flight. Oddly enough, the Great Lakes component gives no trouble. 🙁

When we launch the next version you will have two options - both a regionalized bgl based traffic which should help as you can avoid loading traffic in the whole world like it is the case with the Great Lakes - and a real time which also only injects traffic near to you, so both should help solve your issue.

Great stuff. I'll look forward to it. My seas are in need of population

Will the real time version have US Great Lakes traffic?

That looks amazing! This mod alone makes me want to spend more time in the oceans and go sailing and exploring the waters instead of the skies. We just need some study level boats for MSFS now!

For low & slow coastal flights this mod is a must, with the upcoming Live integration and other features this mod should become default in the Sim! As always, superb work, cannot wait for the update 👍
