So just to be clear this replaces V2 which we can now delete @KL791?

If you had just taken the time to read the intallation paragraph on the linked site, you'd already know the answer. 😉

  • Together with Knud, Kai we are progressing towards the first live marine traffic version... Today was test day for new models - in particular the two new giant DFDS ferries Luna Seaways and Aura

Congrats on the new version!

Is it (eventually) coming to flightsim.to ? Because i use that for freeware addons and it's tracking capability is also convenient.

Chock 1.1: "The only thing that whines louder than a jet engine is a flight simmer."

yes, that is correct - you need to remove V2 before installing V3.

Awesome thank you and yet again thank you for this fantastic mod and all the work you do 🙂

OMG this addon is terrible. The anchors don't move, they don't have any sounds, the crews never get a rest break, there isn't even a McDonalds onboard any of the ships. 0/10 would never download again.

Obviously. I'm joking. I bow down to the effort put in. Amazing work and thank you for keeping it free. 🙂

You remind me that I have to do the Badger... But seeing pictures from the US lately I guess it is deep frozen right now so it can wait for a spring update 😄

Hee hee...yes, it was COLD (felt like MINUS 37C with the windchill)...but today it was +10C and all the snow is melting?

But the Badger doesn’t run until May...I inadvertently booked my wife and I on her very first trip of the season this year and we were mystified by the news crews and mayor and marching bands etc. wishing us Bon Voyage.  And I was saddened by the white spray of the waves as they hit the Manitowoc lighthouse (where I used to kiss my college girlfriend, another story!).  In any case, we only had about 4-5 foot swells across to Michigan and a pleasant but chilly trip.  Highly recommended the next time you’re in the US...you cross like 60 miles of water in 4 hours seeing many iron ore ships as you go and feel like you’re in a totally different place when you arrive even though you could be there in like 20 min in a private jet.  And the State Park in Ludington, MI is lovely, with a wonderful lighthouse you can climb.

Whenever you get around to modeling the badger, please contact me if you need photos, scale drawings, etc. as I have a nice book and my own photos.  And don’t know if you have statics as part of your wonderful package, but the Badger’s sister ship the “Spartan” is still extant and sits in Ludington, MI at the terminal...they’re identical vessels (and quite amazing...it never ceases to amaze me when I go on luncheon walks from my generator factory near Sheboygan, WI and see lakers and salties gliding by offshore.  And some days, looking at the waves, I’m grateful for my work in Supply Chain and glad my troubles are safely on land! 🙂

Pictures and drawings will be very welcome. As I said she has been on my list for long, and as it is only sailing on the same lake it can even be included in our real time traffic as it is on the same altitude all the time. It would fit well, as the real time version will have most of the larger ferries in the US and Canada - most of the models are already included in the package release yesterday but will only be activated when we launch the real time injection tool as I didn't have time to program and test all the routes.

😄 Glad to hear this - I remember that you did almost count it dead at some point, so nice to see that we managed to get it back alive 😄 and jokes aside we are looking into raising and lowering sails for a future version of the real time as it bothers me that we have some ships with sails set in harbors in real time; it will come without sound though and it won't be in the first version in real time as it requires that I go back to the model for each boat...

And speaking about real time I was testing last night in New York

A big thanks to you and all the collaborators for this exceptional mod.

Godt nytår Henrik! 🥳

I see there is a traffic file for Plymouth (UK) and I'm curious to know what there is. I've been trying to find one of the Brittany Ferries and flying at the times I should be able to see it but, nothing yet. No Naval vessels either.

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Fishing boats and navy ships... but notice that the sim does no longer reload traffic despite changing the time of the day - apparently this changed in the last simupdate.

I only have the Brittany Ferries entering Portsmouth - you will have to wait for the real time version to get them into Plymouth also...
