Unbelievable and outstanding contribution to our Flight Simulation World.

I’m a low and slow Simmer and throughly enjoy seeing shipping throughout this great planet. I take my hat off to you, and thank you for the added emersion.

Kind Regards Brian

I fly the airliners and don't really care about wakes and details and stuff BUT the first and last few minutes of every flight always has me catching a few large ships or boats in the area that that adds heaps of realism so this is a great mod.

Thanks, these comments reflects exactly what we have always be aiming for - if you fly an airliner there should be something to see on final approach and if you just fly low and slow as I mostly do you should see something new every time you fly.

And ps Brian, I also include a new freight ferry on the Melbourne - Hobart route for the next update - there should also be something new down under...

There doesn't seem to be any mention of the hang at Fly now. Sadly I'm afflicted by this. Of all the things I have in my Addon-Linker ONLY gaist results in 'the hang'. I've deleted and re-downloaded a fresh copy but still the same. In the words of H Nelsom, I see no ships. I am at a loss as to know what else to try.

Have you tried not using addon linker and placing GAIST in an empty community folder, Ron?

Astonishing and beautifull work Sir.
A wondrous addition too MSFS.
Many thanks indeed.

I also experience the hanging issue after I hit FLY NOW. So I have disabled the mod for the time being. I'm not sure if it's an issue related to the SU updates from Asobo or has something to do with the mod itself. Whatever it is, I hope it can be fixed.

That's one I haven't tried. Good effort but it wasn't fooled. 😀

EDIT: Just now got a result with the Great Lakes on their own. I don't know what that tells me. but it's something.

A small update...

We continue working on the real time version and new models. This week the first global real time traffic using the full fleet was tested - still things to improve but getting there. Below tankers at anchor near Ostende.

Also several new models are entering the fleet which has passed 1600 different ships.

As issues experienced during SU8 were greatly reduced with SU9 we are not hurrying with the next version.

Beautiful models, but I rarely see them, so I'm looking forward to the real-time traffic version. All the very best with progress. 🙂

If anyone is on the fence about this:

It's a fairly large download, but it really adds that extra touch of immersion to the sim.

Also: close to no impact on framerates and performance.

Highly recommended!

Will this real time be independent of MSFS real time traffic for aircraft? Can you still use this real time marine traffic with MSFS offline flightplans?

Beautiful.

One thing I’m wondering. What is the argument for using the payware Seafront global shipping? Are the models better and/or more native to MSFS? Better night lighting?

The reason not to use this product is obvious - other than cost, there’s around 20 models (I think) rather than 1600.

I actually own and have used both on many occasions (have had GAIST for a long while now), I’m just not an expert so am wondering from a technical perspective whether there’s any way(s) in which Seafront is more advanced.
