It would be nice if such positive feedbacks are also posted via LM forums, they deserve to hear nice things like this.😉

Look here down below the link! You ARE right Simbol.

Maybe some others can make some positive replies over at LM Support via the link below to motivate and encourage the Devs at LM. I do complain often...but there MUST be place for positive feedback to as there is also a good side on this release!

Link to my positive feedback-topic and some whishes for an even better P3D

Not working at my end. 4K monitor and within VR no AA at the moment. EA mode always in use. Not tested with EA "off".

Used always 2xMSAA or 2xSSAA.....I can use them all.....I see nothing "but jaggies". On 4K hard noticeable, within VR very noticeable.

Marcus

This morning I saved folders and then uninstalled v5.1 completely. After that I installed V5.1 HF 1.

Just now I finished it and checked how it looked. Great as before  AA is working as normal.

Tomorrow the second pc will be updated.

Btw :  the cloudsettings in the VolumetricClouds.cfg file looks familiar 😎...

EA looks nice but cannot get past the pixelation look when looking down at the clouds and with latest HiFi, the weather does not update per my settings but goes some 30 to 40 minutes btw updates and the wx so far is not accurate when arriving at destination. With EA off, no issues.

I'm going to agree with you.  When I'm below 20,000 feet or so, the clouds in EA look good. Above that, the blocky squares are starting to appear.  So, the only solution is to NOT use EA.  The sim works great with the hotfix, but EA is still not ready for prime time.

I also have to say that I deleted all of 5.1 and reinstalled the entire sim with the Hotfix!  It's a pain putting in all the LatinVFR and FLYTampa scenery, but it's worth it in the end.  Orbx libraries stayed intact so no problem there.

Stan

So would I not have the same results if I just did the client vs re-installing/updating everything? Trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Sucks cuz I just installed 5.1 in its entirety and then the next week 5.1 HF 1 came out.

in my case just update each installer. First uninstall the old client and install the new one, then the content and finally scenery.
Also after installation start the simulator, close it, restart
and copy the two files that are in AppData \ Roaming \ Lockheed Martin \ Prepar3D v5 \ Controls "Standard.xml and Standard.xmlx"
and finally execute the file "Delete Generate files" in the root folder of the simulator. Restore the copied files.

I had no need to reinstall addons from the beginning, only AS 318-333, new ActiveSky, orbx did not move anything and voila everything works as smooth as butter.

I have already made 3 flights of approximately 2 hours each and without problems

The LM forum states that just the Client update will work for most users.. so that is what I did.  Seems to work just fine 🙂

When you guys have sorted it all out I`ll install 5.1 and Hotfix Lol..... Buts seriously, I've been busy this last month or so and didn't want to install 5.1 and risk HEAVY FRUSTRATIONS...so I'm holding out..... still on 5.0, that was actually working pretty well on my rig.

Cheers

Gerald should get at least a free license for P3D or royalties for all the graphics work he has done! Perhaps he can buy the rights to PTA? If so, I would buy it!
