Somehow it worked for me. I did exactly the same as in the first attempt. Who cares 🤣.

In my case REX weather export the report file ok but is two hours old, isn't live time , is that correct?

That would be a REX issue.  It is possible that a METAR could be that old.  At most large airports, they are refreshed about every 15 minutes, but at a remote airport, it could be older.

I still have the issue with REX and pilo2atc says : weather is unavailable ...

You need to be sure you have the right folder entered for REX Weather on the Wx tab of Config, and that REX Weather is actually creating the metar_report.xml file in  that folder.

Also, the airport you are trying to get weather for needs to be in the file, or else you will get Weather is Unavailable message.
