Coincidence? Or is the logbook improved?

Recommended Posts

I completed a 90 minute flight after the update, screwing around as I flew.  I did configure an almost direct flight plan, point A to point B with just one interim fix.  Then I screwed around sightseeing by executing out of NAV mode and flying freehand, then back to NAV, and so on a few times.  Selected and activated an approach.  Went according to Hoyle.  Landed, Taxied up to ground crew, shut down.  Nothing.  So exited to main menu and check logbook in profile.  Priceless.  Had both departure and destination airports correct, no "vicinity" issue, the landing was logged.  Blow me down, sailor! Blow me down!  I must have had me spinach!

I have completed 44 flights in MSFS, 39 of which were using flight plans, and this is only the 5th flight accurately logged.  Any other reports from the briefing room?

BTW, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge near my home in Maryland is much welcomed in this update. Nicely modeled.  I was returning from a $50 Hamburger run up the NJ Shore in my most economical airplane.

What was said was ambiguous.

"The logbook should now properly log unfinished flights (either via return to main menu or via landing and shutting down the engine and Master)"

My comment earlier today, before flying with the update:

"LOL!  How about properly logging "finished" flights?  Ha! If what we consider completed flights are considered by the sim as "unfinished" then we need some information on what is considered "unfinished?"

Oh it's modelled finally?  Excellent.  We drove out to Rehoboth Beach a few years ago.  Had a really enjoyable time (we went to D.C. and Baltimore Aquarium as well with our two youngest at the time).  I remember that bridge very clearly...  although it was a little nerve-wracking haha.

Ha!  I have never understood that.  We have a sister-in-law who lays down in the back seat for the trip across the bridge....

Yeah it's ironic actually.  I love flying small airplanes but bridges make me nervous.

W29 is at least representatively depicted.  Take a look however at KESN in Easton. Flat blobs of color on the ground where their should be hangars and other structures.

Ooofda.  Yuck.  For some reason I thought all airports had at least default-ish general buildings.  Submit a bug through zendesk...

Did so two months ago...  Have found other airports with some of the same issue, but few to the same extent.  Believe KCTJ, Carrolton, Ga., and KIGQ, Lansing, IL, are two more I found that were bleak.

Love seeing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge! Grew up nearby and have been on, under and over that Bridge many times! W29 was also a favorite to fly into when I lived there. An friend of mine that passed away said he actually flew under it once many years ago...and knowing him I believe him!
