Interesting shots, thanks for the link. They appear to be taken with a zoom, and that will compress distances and make objects appear closer together than they really are. But 1000 feet of separation? I don't know....-John

Those shots were taken with a zoom or telephoto lens. I'd say half the pictures I take are taken using a telephoto or zoom. Telephoto compression increases the further away your subject is. It would be nice if the lens and the lens settings were known. I'd have to say it's entirely possible that 1000 feet of separation is being shown given the distance and the relative difference in the sizes of the aircraft.KVRNutCYLW
