February 25, 20215 yr Author Thank you Chock for your hint on Helicopter Simulator , I'll have a closer look on this for shure 👍 . But, only as a reminder: We already have a great, wonderful and genius freeware tool for accurate and challenging helicopter flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator.... ...X (oops, I've forgotten the "X" ): It's Fred Naars Helicopter Total Realism Tool (or short " HTR" ). But it's not a plug and play solution for the lazy ones !!! You have to become acquainted with HTR; you have to set up your controls properly. And once you get familiar with it, it rewards you with very satisfying helicopter flying in a simulator within very plausible physics which don't need to hide behind DCS or X-Plane. In some aspects its even more challenging and enjoyable compared to these other sims. E.g it monitors constantly your landing rate velocity. After you've done a lot of heli flying and accompanied by this tool, the helicopter "flying - challenge" will become very easy in other sims, and you'll get used to land your helos smooth as butter. I still use HTR almost daily in my FSX.

I am happy to announce that we will be releasing our first alpha build of the H135 to the public no later than Saturday morning New York time. The video linked below is a good representation of the build we will be providing for testing. I want to stress that this is absolutely a test build and not a build we consider even a 1.0 version. There is still a lot of work for us to do for this to be a 1.0 polished product, but the most important thing in my opinion to get right are the flight dynamics which are why we are pushing this out so early so we can gain feedback from simmers and real world pilots. We will have more details to provide alongside the alpha release, but for now I think we can finally put to rest the naysayers that said it couldn't be done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQj5dNcXwy8&feature=youtu.be can we 3D it? 😄

Besides if anyone thinks that was bad, have look at my 'landings' in that Helicopter Sim review. 🤣 Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
February 27, 20215 yr With H135 out now, there's much input the community can give to assist the Devs' activities to sweet tune it. Certainly for now you should use "Legacy" and I find it fairly easy to fly and undertake the usual chopper activities. February 27, 20215 yr HTR is a great addon for helicopters. Has anyone spoken to Fred Naar? the author of HTR to see if it could be modified to work with MSFS? He has done a tremendous amount of work already on helicopter physics. Danny
February 28, 20215 yr Hey MediaHypeTrain thank you for the Heli! I love it, did my first flight today and recorded it, while flying there is no sound tho. But its fun to fly low & slow 😄
