Good Low And Slow for V4.5?

Recommended Posts

Hi: I have just reloaded my P3d V4.5 and am looking for a good freeware "low and slow" aircraft to fly into many of the smaller fields...Could someone recommend such a plane and where to download it? Thanks a lot!

I remember this bird as being a good one,  http://frenchvfr.free.fr/download.php?lng=en&pg=432

(be sure and read thru the Documentation)

Not free but an incredible value at $12.95 is Ant's LSA Eaglet. High wing lets you observe the landscape. For payware I would highly recommend the MilViz PC6 especially for mountain flying.

A. F. Scrub made some remarkable aircraft for FSX to P3D5. Just recently made some Cessna 172 and DHC2s.

At Sim Outhouse you can find the Flightport_Soloy_Mark1_V4_P3DV4, which is free too and availabe with floats or tires.

You need to register to get in.

From there I can also recommend the Avro 621 biplane. There are different models and also biplanes. It was made for FSX but works like a charm and looks fantastic in my v5.1. So certainly too in 4.5

There's a free Super Cub for v5 from flight replicas but maybe you can run it in v4.5. I used a lot of older textures for it.

You also have a default Cub in 4.5. In case it's unflyable set all realistic settings to unrealistic.

Ants has the DH82 still free. If you like it, you can also buy the professional version, which is a remarkable upgrade to the free version.

Restauravia has some fantastic freeware too

Hope there's something for you.

I hat to be "that guy" but if I wanted low and slow I would go get a Microsoft gamepass and try MSFS for a month...  If I were coming back to simming for complex AC add-ons, especially heavies I would be jumping up and down for  P3D but if your end goal is low and slow I wouldn't start investing in all the addons required to make P3D a viable low and slow sim...   You could spend a lot of $$$ and have nowhere near the global VFR experience you can have in MSFS.

Yes sure. He could also take flight lessons in real world, but did he ask for that. Did he?

(Ratatatata...) 😉

Still ducking and running but thinking why not try MSFS for VFR as I trip over a rock and hit my knee in the process LOL  😉     For VFR I always loved TNCM, St Barts and Saba in P3D the FSDT package but it's not freeware so I am really no help here.  Ah wait, What about NL2000 for the Netherlands, great VFR and free?

The Zenith 701 for P3d was made donationware a few months back. Originally payware, it is a beautifully modeled "slow and go" flyer. Just search for "Zenith 701 P3d".

PS a bunch of repaints available here at Avsim.

I was searching for that one a few weeks ago but didn´t find a download place. Now I got it.

Big thanks for that one.

This is indeed a really well made aircraft, and great to fly!

If anyone needs a hand with installing an RXP GNS530 into the panel, contact me via PM 🙂
