Still No Sign of an Mooney Update

Featured Replies

Yeah, I'm wondering what the heck this sort of "partnership" is considering the patches are just not getting approved and Carenado are using a rather harsh tone towards Microsoft on their Facebook posts. This is a joke of a situation and I feel sorry for anyone who purchased the affected aircraft.

Though considering that five Marketplace products received patches recently according to the latest development update, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Carenado screwing up or just poor communication on their side. For several years their quality assurance and post-release support have been exceptionally poor, and from what I could gather in the comments on their Facebook page shortly before the release of the new simulator, their newer X-Plane releases had also suffered a massive drop in quality.

Either way Microsoft/Asobo need to clear the matter up and pull the aircraft from the Marketplace at least temporarily. It is regrettable that it's been nearly a month since the issues started and there is still no definitive answer.

Am I the only one flying the 3 Carenado planes w/o problems?

My favorite is the PA44, but all 3 fly perfectly including the AP. I just use the parts that work. Don't push on things that cause problems.

They are all very flyable for me IFR and VFR.

And I am sure soon they will be even better.

I wonder if "partnership" is just code for a company paying money to be in a "partnership" with MSFS. The title isn't even a quasi-like endorsement from MSFS. It's not a certificate to indicate a product of higher/better quality, it's just a way for a developer to state they are "associated" with MSFS which might persuade more buyers to buy that product over another regardless of quality.

Sort of like having "XXX company being the "official" car floor mat company of the NFL" or "XXX windows company being the official window company of the Boston Red Sox", as if the Red Sox know or care which house window company is the best /s. Or in some doctors' offices, you see "Dr. Fine is the top 100 podiatrist in the nation" poster in their waiting room. You pay your money, and you get to have the "official" designation or partnership title. Nothing more, nothing less.

I would think a partnership with MSFS would allow a developer to have assess to the inner workings of MSFS and have products that be head and shoulders above ones that are not in partnership with MSFS...I would think...

Some people set their expectations bar sooo low. This isn't even a criticism; I wish I could be like this. Unfortunately, I can't!

EXACTLY!

We are SO USED to making excuses for the lowest common denominator, that we as a society are now de-volving instead of evolving.  If you don't demand better- you will never get it.

Asking for a working product that is currently being advertised and sold, isn't overreaching.

The sim is a joke, ASOBO is a joke, they don't listen they want inept fan Bois playing the game, they have done nothing to address any of the core issues, it's all eye candy and influencers on YouTube. We will never see anything but pretty screen shots, nobody talks about anything remotely realistic in msfs because nothing is. Hopefully in a year maybe after the oil rigs of the gulf Mexico update, or ridge lines of South Africa update, or the Botswana update or the daffodils of Dover or squirrel in a tree updates we might actually get some core issues fixed and maybe just maybe the updates for the OR2

You went too far with that post. This ain't Twitter.

177B has a complete Air Manager setup that allows them to interact with all of the cockpit control settings via SimConnect variables.  They don't have to click on anything in the cockpit, so no CTDs.

Every thread about the Ceranado problems they come in and boast about how "it's no problems for me".  Guess what - aircraft need to work for everyone, including people who haven't spent $$$$$ on a complete simpit setup with a 2nd PC to display the instruments and a 'Knobster' to change settings.

Honestly it's really getting old.  If you spend hundreds or thousands of extra dollars you can work around the broken word not allowed that MS/Asobo/Carenado have delivered.  Great.  We know.  You made that clear the first 5 times.

No if it was Twitter it would be fact checked. What did I go to far with? Stating the truth.

That entire post should be stricken from the record. 😀

It's mainly false speculation, deception, and mendacity.

BTW. There's still no sign of an update.

Maybe we need to start a thread for everything that still not fixed so that we can have a reminder of how much ASOBO listens to customer requests.

10 years is a long time to wait.
