Night sky and stars

Featured Replies

Hi Guys is there a way to change the brightness of the starts and size in prepar3dv5 only my stars seem far to big to look realistic ?

TIA Glynn

I wish. There was a program called auto star and it will but the stars in the correct order but you cannot adjust the brightness of the stars with it which is too bad., the night sky looks terrible in P3D.

Why don’t you use simply EA mode the sky looks much better with EA

Why are my posts needing approval?

Because you were posting about a line of products from a certain developer that is forbidden to be discussed at Avsim.

😨...it´s for bidden to discuss about P3D?!?! 😲 🤫

P3D V6 -  PC spec: Intel i9-9900 overclocked 5 GHz HT off, 32 GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX3090 24GB, 2xM2 SSD, Skalarki HomeCockpit and Jeehell FMGS on a dedicated Server, PF3 for ATC, MCE, GSX, EFB, AS+ASCA+ENV and OrbXpf3-supporter.gif

i have this program Ron mentioned about, still i use and with some tries i have now a night sky with some much more differentciated and less stars. It´s still not as good as in EA mode but much better as the standard of P3D.

Edit: So it turned out now, i just want to make it clear. I have NOT the banned Program. I´am using the freeware by Chris Wright and it does wat i discribed already. Even in P3D 5.1

My stars in P3Dv4.5HF2 have a habit of vanishing just before sunrise, and then popping back into view one by one. I am not sure what that is all about. I do use REX 4 Texture Direct Enhanced Edition, but I do not know if this has anything to do with it.

The product he is referring to is payware...

I have it too + almost all other addons from that developer as it adds a lot to realism.

Avsim makes their rules but after all those years still not allowing people to even mention these addons ...   It’s a hobby

Gerald, i guess you mean the one which wears the name of the spaceship that was Cpt. Picard´s first command from STNG, but that´s not the one we talk about. The one we don´t say it´s name is indeed freeware developed By Chris Wright

Ray, we indeed respect this, but allow us to correct misleading informations which could put blame on the wrong people like Chris Wright being mixed up with the one AVSIM has banned.
