December 10, 20205 yr Hi Guys, After 4 months of bush flying and sightseeing with the GA aircraft I decided to try to the liners. My last experience with them was in 2006-2007 with FSX so I was a bit rusty. I learned how to set the new A320 FMC/MCDU thanks to videos and tutorials and tried a brief flight (LIRF-LICC). 9 times out of 10, in managed mode, once the A/P is engaged, the aircraft either banks heavily to the left and crashes, or flies in a straight line instead of heading to the green line to the next waypoint. If I click the arrow down to the HDG knob and engage manual heading selection, it just ignores it and continues flying in a straight line. Altitude and auto-throttle controls work correctly instead. I read many topics on the internet regarding this, thought I did something wrong, and found two common workarounds: 1) set a deadzone for the controller (already done, and anyway the issue was not related to the controller disengaging the A/P) 2) empty the rolling cache (???) - even if I don't use the rolling cache, I tried this and immediately after, the A/P worked fine! Just that time however... So I downloaded the modded A320 from here and this one works fine, even though I have to switch the update frequency of the glass panels to low in order to have a good framerate in the cockpit. Therefore I'd like to fix the default A320, did any of you find solutions? Thanks! 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

The FBW team already did and still does a great job at https://github.com/flybywiresim/a32nx Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

I run this before starting MSFS and off we go. Note though that as of now the versions available via the installer does not contain the "custom fbw" or cfbw mod (yet) which is even better than the "normal" mod available through the installer. Direct link (as of today, see their github page for changes) to the cfbw mod is https://flybywiresim-packages.nyc3.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/vmaster-cfbw/A32NX-master-cfbw.zip Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
December 10, 20205 yr FYI, you can improve framerates in the FBW A320 by switching off the first officer PFD and MFD (just turn the brightness dials down to zero).
