Radar Contact Crashes after registering

Greetings.

I recently downloaded Radar Contact 4 and the Key Generator. I copy and pasted my Product ID into the generator and generated a key for myself.

I proceed to copy and paste the key into the registration field. After clicking the button, the program freezes and then it crashes itself. 

How do I fix this?

Somehow it worked. Thank you.

But now I do have another problem. After loading a flight plan I have and clicking the activate button, it shows this error:

IPC Timed Out All Retires

I read another thread regarding this problem and it seems to not fix my problem.

Progress. Good. 👍 I'm going to need more info please. What simulator? Have you built the database? A screenshot of RC just before you press the Start button would help.

And please confirm version of FSUIPC you're running.

Press the button marked Rebuild Scenery DB and follow the prompts.

Also, press FLT / Wx Path and point to the folder containing your plans. That path should be visible in the display bottom left.

Alright. However this problem is also happening right now:

If I click "Yes", FSX crashes. If I click "No" FSX just closes itself.

How do I fix this?

That is a trusted application and choosing Yes was correct. It should not result in a crash of FSX.

I'd suspect a Simconnect version mismatch or a firewall problem if it's being run remotely.

FSUIPC 4.975a will use a SimConnect.dll file installed in the FSX root folder if it's there, rather than the side-by-side library version that's normally installed by the SDK's msi file(s).  So if there is a SimConnect.dll in the FSX root folder, it needs to be the correct one (FSX SP2/Acceleration).

As Bob suggested it's probably related to SimConnect. Have you installed and configured it?
