Can you tell me what antivirus are you using?

I'm using  'Bitdefender Internet Security' - but I didn't find any info in the related logs...

I have turned off 'Bitdefender Antivirus' for testing !

Seems like everything is working now - you obviously found the 'culprit' !!!! 😀😀

This is really strange, because nowhere an error notice or log entry appears...!?

thanks a lot for your tip !

.. Unfortunately I have bad news:

The error occurs again when the antivirus protection is turned off... 😞

there must be another cause for the error after all....

Hmm so how it works before? how strange.

Let's try to see if your .NET 4.8 is corrupted, can you try to install this: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net48-web-installer

Please re-install it..

How should I do this ? There is no uninstaller !

Besides, I don't have a problem with any other program that uses .net framework !?!

As I said, I can select 1 time a plane-model, then it works !
Only as soon as I move the mouse back to the AILRP window (even without clicking anything) AILRP crashes !

I understand but we are unable to replicate this behavior, I suspect bit defender has something to do with this. Can we do a remote session so I can ensure AILRP has all the required exceptions in place under Bit Defender?

Please note disabling Bit Defender sometimes is not enough as this product always leave certain monitoring tools in place despite of being place as "disabled". Only adding the required exception to all its components for each of the AILRP executable's ensure the best experience.

Sorry. doing a remote session is not possible !
Can you tell me which AILRP executable's (or directories) are affected ?

I strongly suspect that I am not the only one who uses Bitdefender ! Why AILRP has such a problem with Bitdefender ?

Because bit defender is too agresive.. I hate this antivirus.. It is just dumb.. And trust me it doesn't protect against real threats! I work full time as a Corporate Security / Network Administrator.

I am trying to help you, we can use teamviewer which is free and resolve this quick..

Add all executables inside AILRP to all bit defender exclusion list, be aware bit defender has many exclusion list, it has file antivirus, threat protection, trusted applications, etc. You need to add all the executables to each exclusion list because bit defender is so dumb that one exclusion list is not enough.

I am trying to help you

I know that and also appreciate it very much !!!
I have added the following .exe files to the exception:

Uninst_AI Lights Reborn Professional Edition.exe
FSRebornConfigChecker.exe
UninstallEffects.exe
AI Lights Reborn Professional.exe
WUPDATE_SSL.EXE

Sporadically it works now (even the switch...),
but when i move the mouse to a line with the orange-red logo the program crashes...
btw what does this logo actually mean ?
