Aerosoft CRJ preview pictures

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if Aserosoft intends to improve the PFD/ND authenitcity. Some text size and position errors seem to be present since the first version in 2017.

The exteriors are just crazy though, fantastic quality

Dear FlightSim Community,

We feel the expectation on us to give official information about the release of the Aerosoft CRJ 550/700 for the Microsoft Flight Simulator.

In this regard we have a concern and we’ll keep it short: We made a really tough decision to postpone the CRJ release into the first quarter of next year. This decision wasn't easy for us, because we know how much anticipation there is in the community for this add-on.

We have decided to do so, because we want to deliver a CRJ that meets all expectations, but we have not reached this level yet. We need more time for the development and beta testing. We hope the additional time allows us to complete the necessary work to provide the highest quality and the best possible experience for you right from the start.

We therefore hope for your understanding.  However, we do have a little present for you. The first official teaser:

We wish you and your loved ones a Happy New Year!

Whoopsies!

I'm assuming Asobo didn't fix some blocker and they won't get to it until Sim Update III in February.

Sentient machines aren't on the horizon right now though. Or for the foreseeable. There's no evidence at all to suggest we will have anything but highly effective, specialised, but importantly unconscious and unmotivated algorithms to solve problems in the future.

The robot wars (which would be less of a war and more of an absolute eradication should we hit singularity level intellect that doesn't want us around) just aren't coming anytime soon. Cognitive neuroscience has absolutely no idea what the root cause of consciousness is. Best guess is a byproduct of our billions of synapses firing at once. An accident of evolution and potential illusion of self control.

And I say this as someone extremely excited about the potential of AI to solve problems.

As a cellular/molecular neuroscientist it is very cool to read these ideas. Quite the scope of knowledge revealed in this topic. Very true about the reference to cognitive neuroscience. Yes, wouldn’t it be cool to have artificial intelligence solve the programming language problems discussed in this thread for the aircraft we desire in FS2020. I can tell you that we have some individuals in this forum with very impressive neural networks exciting new pathways. With the release of neurotransmitters and the formation of new synaptic connections, the modelling problems become solved. New ideas emerge and what seemed distant is eventually viewed possible. Continued success!

The problem is some evil programmer will hide out in a warehouse and write evil AI that can be resourceful and grow and construct plans to build a clone army so to speak. That's the entire reason I am into flight simming, if I live long enough, I want to make sure I can jump in a plane and fight back just in case, because it won't be too easy on the ground.
