What happened to My Traffic X

Recommended Posts

I thought I saw an advert here at AVSIM for the new My Traffic X last night. If not then I must be working too hard and staying up too late and beginning to imagine things. This version is supposed to work with many of FSX's features such as AI planes using docking gates, airport service trucks, etc.Anyone heard of this?

It was. I read it this morning on the front page so checked the forums to see if there were any comments about it. Then after reading your post I looked again and yes, it is gone. But it was there. I'm sure...bill

There must have been some problem, when I clicked on the site from the link on AVSIM there was no mention of MyTraffic X. My guess is a last minute problem ws found, and it was pulled by the developer until it is fixed.

Thanks

Some of the models are fairly ordinary up close but all in all it works well in my FSX.

Quicky question.I am running a high end machine but the default fsx traffic drags the system down. How is the performance in FSX using this product? What percent of traffic are most using? ThanksBob

I reckon you get the same performance hit from 10 of these air aircraft as you do from 1 default FSX aircraft.Just my 2c.Kael

I recon Kael might be right as with MyTrafficX YSSY has lots of aircraft with little performance hit compared to having just the FSX ai but it is hard for my to give any kind of figure. The default ai aircraft look better so there is a tradeoff but if you spend most of your time actually flying then that wont normally be a problem.

I bought and downloaded last night. I also appied the 5.0a patch and have my ai set to 35%. This affords me plenty of ai with very litle reduction in frame rates. If I cut back on some of the other sliders I an increase the traffic but with so many 35% there is still more than enough company. All in all I am happy with MyTraffic X.:-)

Do you know if My Traffic X uses realistic routes? I'm hanging out for Ultimate Traffic X (or whatever they call it) because I like realistic flight plans, I'm not sure if My Traffic has these?Kael

A long answer taken from their web site.MyTraffic X version 5.0 ist the first version of MyTraffic for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. By design, it is built to support all the new features FSX has to offer, like jetways docking to the AI aircrafts or luggage carts and other ground vehicles servicing them. Like MyTraffic 2006 for FS9, this iteration of MyTraffic introduces the 'AI Time Machine', allowing users to simulate traffic from any year in the past half century. To accommodate for the new featurtes of FSX and the new traffictoolbox, the internal workings of the Editor have been overhauled to integrate more complex algorithms, support for multi-threading and the addition of a more user friendly method to add individual flights. The Editor now includes data about retired aircraft, old liveries and defunct airlines. Overall, MyTraffic includes 475,000 daily flights (civil, military, amphibian and general aviation traffic). Features: 3.300.000+ weekly AI Flights - MyTraffic 2006 includes over 3,300,000 (yes, that's correct - more than three million) AI flights between 7,800 airports in all regions of the world. These flights include international, national, regional, commuter, general aviation, cargo, amphibian airlines, military and touch and go circuits. Flights are generated based on a realistic model - All traffic is generated based on real-life traffic patterns. You will see airlines at airports and hubs which are consistent with their real-world operations. MyTraffic X also includes a set of long range flights based on published airline schedules giving you a high level of realism without the boring uniformity of products that restrict themselves solely to published schedules. 7,800+ Airports bustling with AI Traffic - MyTraffic X flies AI Traffic between more than 7,800 airports in all corners of the world. All aircraft behave realistically during different phases of their flight. Parking positions are also assigned in an accurate manner. For example, airliners will taxi to their gates, cargo aircraft will park at cargo positions situated near the respective airport cargo facilities. AI Traffic will behave in the same way even at add-on sceneries, provided that they are fully FSX compatible. Touch and Go flights into more than 100 small airfields. Airliner, General Aviation and Military Traffic - With MyTraffic X you get yourself the only AI Traffic generator that treats all three types of aviation traffic with the same priority. You will not have to compromise one for the other! And not only for current schedules, even going back in history to the beginning of the jet age. 3000+ Liveries - MyTraffic X includes well over 3000 aircraft liveries and this number will keep growing, coming from more than 1400 different airlines (among them military units located at their home bases). 154+ Aircraft Models - From Boeing to Yakolevs and Cessnas to Embraers, MyTraffic includes them all. All models are created with GMAX optimized for high frame rates even at very busy airports. Most of these aircrafts have been overworked in GMAX specially for FSX, to remove display errors as well as to increase performance beyond the one offered by Microsoft stock planes. Bringing realistic AI traffic to all parts of the world, MyTraffic can be oftenly observed to provide better performance even with more aircrafts around you than FSX stock AI traffic. Simplicity is the key - MyTraffic X is simple by virtue. We do not overload our add-on with an unnecessary array of features, menus and other distractions. It is our philosophy to keep MyTraffic X as simple to use, yet as powerful as possible! MyTraffic X Editor is an advanced AI Traffic configuration utility allowing the generation of thousands of flight plans at the click of a button, all based on user adjustable parameters. Capable of recognizing geographic regions, country borders, and the history of airline fleets, the editor makes sure that you see the right traffic in the right region. MyTraffic Communicator is a tool to support the user to get to information, to support, to repair installations that got broken, and to download updates and patches. MyTraffic X comes bundled with MyTraffic 2006 version 4.1, the ultimate version of the award winning series of MyTraffic versions for FS9, superior to all other packages in quantity, quality and most important performance. Featuring 166 aircraft series with more than 3100 paints on 6500+ airports, all kind of traffic can be found, even traffic on aircraft carriers. This bundeling enables you, the user to have a simple transition from FS9 to FSX, with highly optimized traffic packages for each of them. Whether you stay with FS9 for a longer time, wantt to migrate immediately, or want to run both in parallel, this bundle is the right answer to your needs.

I posted over at Ultimate Traffic forums and the're saying that it will be some time before Ultimate Traffic is around, so I'm looking at MyTraffic or perhaps Traffix X. I can't establish however, if either of these programs will add parking codes/extra spaces at airports. Refering to the MyTraffix data sheet thats posted in this thread, it talks about making use of 7800 airports or something similiar, but I can't establish if that means its modified them somewhat, or if its just sending aircraft to them?I'm from Australia and most of my flying is down here, so I'm particulary interested in and Australian airports that have added gates or parking codes.Cheers,Kael
