  • To install you have to drag the contents of the "oceana liveries pack" into your community folder.
  • Community folder locations:
  • For the Windows Store install:
  • C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\ Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\
  • For the Steam install:
  • C:\Users\[Your User Name]\AppData\Local\Packages\
  • Microsoft.FlightDashboard_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\
  • Important: Windows 10 by default hides the “AppData” folder, so you will have to go to “View” in the menu of File Explorer, and select “Hidden items” so as to see it.
  • For the Custom install:
  • If you happened to use a custom location for your Flight Simulator installation, then proceed there.
  • In my case it was: E:\Drive\Community

Are 8k textures really necessary? What about those who fly at 1080p and 1440p or even 4k? Will they even notice a difference?

Apparently enough talented people thought so that they went ahead and created these.

I guess after that everybody makes a choice.

Those liveries combined with the lights from MSFS is an awesome combo.

Nice, so you do notice a difference at 4k? Any performance hit?

I think it equally depends on the guy making the livery, and how many details you want to zoom in on. For a normal flight I am not sure if it matters.

But as a showcase for MSFS it is very nice

I use the MSFS addon linker, and created a folder named A320 8k (divided into sub-folders for the various countries) for these liveries.

If they were to cause any sort of issue, I can simply disable that folder at any time, no harm, no foul.
