40% actually

Oh boy, I feel sorry for my wallet, indeed very good sales! 😄

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display

Pity all the scenery is encrypted from the marketplace, something I learned after buying 2 sceneries recently.  I was hoping to have a much cleaner, simpler buying process for MSFS but it appears I have reverted to type, which is buying direct from the developer website and having a spreadsheet to track all my purchases for update purposes!

AHH of course I bought the Mooney 3 days ago. BLAST. But yeah there is alot of good stuff for sale. Good thing I didn't Christmas shop.

Yup. I can understand why they want to protect stuff of course, but unfortunately the somewhat draconian protection measures have really shot a few things up the @rse for me, most notably that all three Carenado aeroplanes I bought from there are locked out from being imported for use in Air Hauler 2 because the air file is hidden.

I've got news for Microsoft though, in doing that, they've shot themselves up the @rse too, because I will be limiting anything I buy for MSFS to external stores rather than their marketplace when I have that option.

Like I say, I understand the reasons why they chose to protect commercial stuff, but they could have gone about it in a better way. And frankly, I'm sick of over-zealous and thoughtless anti-piracy measures affecting legitimate buyers in this way and in all honesty, rarely doing much to combat piracy, but doing everything to make life harder for legitimate buyers.

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

rule #1 : only buy from the marketplace if the product is not sold anywhere else.
rule #2: don't count on Carenado for support.... ah cr@p too hard to pass on the Mooney with 40% off, they got me this time too

Agreed, I have my eye on a couple of LatinVFR airports and Aerosoft Cologne/Bonn but will wait to see if sales materialize elsewhere.  These are mature enough products that I’m not worried too much about delays to patches but more about whether I’ll be able to edit AFCAD files (or if they’ll be locked) down the road when AI traffic eventually becomes a thing.

Yup, buying the C182 shortly to complete my collection.  In fairness I’ve been quite enjoying the Mooney and the Seminole despite a few issues along the way.
