I am sitting here 13+ years after i made my first virtual flight. For the past months i have been more active than ever. Flying everywhere , enjoying myself.

Of course MS and Asobo are the first to thank for providing the platform.

BUT being in IT field, loving my job for 25+ years , i am thinking of all these GREAT guys that spend their time to provide us with great mods for all the aircrafts that we fly.

I wonder how , WE as a community, can show them our appreciation and i am not talking about money , i am talking about a way to show to them that their nights and days are well spent.

That we appreciate and love the fact that they freaking LOVE what they do.

Asobo updates the sim on the afternoon and i am thinking that most probably when i wake up in the morning, all these guys will have their mods ready for me to enjoy!

That has to be shouted out!

I thought that MSFS would be a big step forward technology-wise from what was a stagnant industry since FSX left. P3D kept FSX alive, XP got study level aircraft after decades... but real progress? Not so much.

Now we know how a sim can look in 2020. With the X-Mas update they proved, they are able to improve on the sim side as well.

What I did not expect, was the level of commitment of the community. There are teams of dozens and hundreds of intelligent people contributing to projects out of pure enthusiasm in their free-time.

We are looking into a bright future! Thanks ASOBO, FBW, WorkingTitle, ...

In that regard, I'm a bit proud to have provided the "Get your sh* together and work with FBW" thread in the wishlist section of the official forums! 😄

Happy with MSFS 🙂
home simming evolved

I Second that, The FBW. Working Title, Robert Young and many others have done a fantastic job in constantly improving the default aircraft since MSFS2020 launched.

Many thanks for all your hard work, to the benefit of the community.

Got Gravel, LittleNavMap, fsTWEAKS and those smaller mod teams and individuals that keep fixing the lights and adding functionality to the panels and stomping out the gremlins that keep popping up should be included in the recognition. It seems we are given something new, free, and innovative most every day.

Most things are fixed before I know they were broken, thanks guys and girls.

It is Christmas Eve and I wish each and everyone of you a Merry Christmas and a happy and safe new year. May God bless you all.

Best Regards,

Appreciation from me to Keith Hackett who did most of the piers along the UK south coast and did Weston Super Mare especially for me.  Also to Mark Taylor for Bristol and a few other areas and BambooDeer for the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Severn Bridges. Also anyone else whose scenery I have used over the years as I know from personal experience how much effort it sometimes takes.
