Could you try updating your software (if the above is a typo)?

Current official is 7638 and the latest Beta 7660.

Typo on my part I have  #7638 installed

Hi John

Could you check your Apps & Features in your Settings if the following is shown? I had to uninstall it separately when updating to the latest Beta.

ASP4_App

Just did an uninstall of both ASP4 and ASCA to try out the latest BETA and the connector installation came up after installing Active Sky, after you have logged in to your account.

The following prompts came up and I just selected the default install path. After that P3D came up just fine.

ASP4_Install_4

ASP4_Install_6

ASP4_Install_8

Hope this helps

Version 7660 has several as_connect fixes. See https://forums.hifisimtech.com/threads/update-1-new-build-b7660-open-beta-posted.13522/ for more info. Don't know if this will help.

Happy New Year.

Good news I took MDflier's advice and now have P3Dv5 and AS working properly it was a delight to reopen P3Dv5 and see actual weather in the sim.

So my thanks go to MDflier for putting me on the right track. My thanks also goes to those others who pitched in.

1 PITA removed hoorah!

You're welcome, John.

Lucky for you guys that I've broken my sim about 6 times this month and shortly after I get something squared away, someone pops up here with the same problem. lol

That ASConnector installer is deceiving.  Mine installed itself on the C drive somewhere, in one of the nested User or AppData folders -- when I really would rather it be in E:\FSTOOLS\ASP3D along with all of the other ActiveSky stuff.   But every time I update ActiveSky, it just puts the Connector in the same old place.  Ugh.

I'm tempted to get into the registry and change its path but...that'll probably get me in more trouble than it's worth.
