I dont think there was a hidden agenda there. It needed to ask that question to determine your results.

You get it right that it is not a hidden agenda. It is a clear and obvious agenda.  It makes a scientifically absurd question a normal question to ask to determine a political leaning. Sorry, you do not have to be a progressive or a conservative to think that fake science is fake science. Except of course if you want make it so. Hence the agenda.

As soon I saw some of the loaded questions and the gender ones I too knew where this was headed

I guess I didn't like interior design and fashion too much but I do like animals (not going hunting them unless it's the apocalypse).

Male 61.3% Err. wrong! 100% red-blooded heterosexual male here.

Normal 75%  I'm 3/4 normal? Wow! I take that as a compliment!!

Traditional 95.7%

Right Wing 78.7% I guess I'd better be warming up the Mercedes-Benz staff car for Chock!

On a lighter note - the SS uniforms were rather nicely tailored and did look extremely smart despite the rightfully horrific stigma attached to them. Perhaps I do have some sort of fashion interest after all!

As for Mr Chock, poor boy has gone through a harrowing experience, his true nature has been revealed to him. As Carl Jung said, in regard to the "shadow and persona" if you want to know the contents of the shadow, look for what the patient overreacts too. And I'm afraid Mr Chock's reaction to this distressing revelation has been extreme.

Thus, to help the poor boy come to terms with his extreme right wing mentality, I'm prepared to offer psychoanalysis at the amazing introductory price of 500 English pounds for a 10 minute session.

PM me for an apointment.

You'd probably laugh your @ss off if you knew how completely not at all right wing I am.

My parents were the Labour Party Mayor and Mayoress of my home town years ago, and my Dad's commitment to socialism (he was a politician as well as being an aircraft engineer at Fairey's), which he gained from having been very poor as a child, orphaned by the death of his parents in the world war. So he was brought up by an aunt, thus having a very good understanding of what good social care can mean to people, and this has definitely rubbed off on me because I grew up in a house full of all kinds of historical books and such. He was in the forces, so he was no pacifist, but he also understood only too well what the cost of warfare can be from his own childhood experience and this was typical of his balanced viewpoint where he could see both sides of things. Sadly, he is no longer alive, however, here's a fun tale about that...

When I arranged my Dad's funeral a few years ago, I had the moment his coffin went out of sight through the curtain at the end of the service, accompanied by the song  L'Internationale, which you may possibly know was the anthem of the first ever Alliance of Workers Congress, which took place in France in 1864 and has subsequently come to be regarded as the international anthem of socialism, not least for having been covered by Billy Bragg amongst others. And I did that, A) for my Dad, B) to annoy some of my relatives who were there, who are right wing tosspots, and C) because I know my Dad would have been laughing his word not allowed off at point B. 🤣

My Dad was a top bloke, some people have pop stars or sports people as their heroes, but my Dad was my hero. He was someone who really cared about others, but he was no sucker or soft touch and I am proud to be like him in this respect.

You should have seen his funeral, there were loads of people outside in attendance who could not fit into the Crematorium, and they were all coming up to me afterward saying how my Dad had helped them with this or that years before and they would not forget him and his kindness. Most of them asked me to give them a print out of the Eulogy I read for him, which they had heard on the speaker in the lobby of the building, which amongst other things, told the story of how he was literally the first person on the scene of the major airliner crash in the centre of my home town in 1967. He was on the way home from a Labour Party meeting when that occurred, when the plane just missed him as it crashed at Hopes Carr, it would have hit him had it not asymmetrically stalled at the last moment. He rushed up to the burning plane and pulled several people out, including the pilot who was on fire, and he put the flames out on the guy.

But he never really told people about this, and some other people had claimed to be first on the scene and bigged themselves up over it all and tried to paint themselves as local heroes. He could easily have embarrassed them by pointing out the truth about their claims, but instead he simply held them in contempt they deserved for such a selfish action, because actually having been there doing that for real, he was quite traumatised by the fact that there were many people he could not get to to save, so the last thing he wasnted to do was go around bragging about being some kind of hero. That was the kind of bloke my Dad was, he didn't do things for show, or to impress people, he did things because he cared about others.

My Eulogy for him at his funeral also told the tale of how our family was once threatened by a well known terrorist organisation from Ireland, owing to his political comments in the Times newspaper, and this was the only time I ever knew that he backed down on voicing an opinion, order to protect us because of the threat to my Mum, me, and my sister, which had been confirmed as genuine by the security services, and this at a time where there were frequent assassinations, bombs and stuff all over the UK, because although he believed in his convictions, he wasn't a selfish man and he loved us all very much and was prepared to subjugate his own very strongly held beliefs for the protection of his family.

I always strive to be like him and if I am even a tenth of what he is like, that'd be impressive, so you can see how laughable the notion that I'd be some kind of right wing pillock is. More currently, my partner is a social worker and she too would be mortified if I was not the kind of person who cared about others. If this isn't enough of a clue as to where my allegiances lie, if you ever watch any of my youtube videos, you might spot a big picture of Che Guevara on the wall behind me which is on the wall in the house we share. 🤣

This is not to say that every opinion I have has to be accompanied by standing to attention singing the Red Flag and clutching a statue of Kier Hardie. I support policies which make sense and which are fair to all or at least most, regardless of which political flag is flying above them. I suspect anyone who knows me well enough will be well aware of that.

Thank you for attending your first session Chock. You can get up off the couch now. I can conclude from my analysis that you require several more sessions. I'll be billing you for this session momentarily. 😆

So which questions in particular do you think labeled you as a right wing nut job? And why?

Huh, are you joking! Have you ZERO sense of humour. It was obviously humour. Good grief man.

Thats weird.

If you are that ridiculously oversensitive you shouldn't be on forums.

And very hypocritical considering the insults you directed my way the other day because I didnt like Tai Chi.

Unbelievable.

Yes. That some people are grounded in reality while others are in delusion.

Some people can answer the questions as posed = mind open

Some cannot do that because they regard them as ridiculous as they do not fit into their reality = mind closed.

Some read so much more into the question than is there, that their answers no longer reflect their actual view = bad result.

This is an example:

Quote

As an example, there was a question about whether we think criminals should be punished or rehabilitated, but what if someone thinks offenders should be punished, and then rehabilitated,

It's an either/or question. It does not matter if the person is first punished. The question is, should the person be released after rehabilitation or should the person be release after punishment. I would agree that there could be clarification but then the Yes or No question would be preceded by an essay, much like the essays that have resulted from the survey itself.

Erm, nope, you need a serious look in the mirror. For starters, it was in fact you who first had a pop at my recommendation that using Tai Chi could help a fellow forum member get over a back injury, you jumped in to that and started commenting that one of my interests was nonsense, which was not only completely unrelated to why I recommended it, but aggressive and also incorrect anyway. Go back and check, you started that one yourself and a look at the chronology of the thread will confirm that.

Now you start pushing repeated attempts to make what you think are jokes about my apparent need for therapy, and I'm all for a joke, even a poor one, however when I posted a completely heartfelt and true tale about why this is not the case, which included going into personal details about a bereavement of one of my parents, you again respond to it completely inappropriately by seeing it as another opportunity to take the p*ss, instead of recognising it as the subtle and entirely friendly hint it was for you to knock it off.

If you cannot see why your behaviour is completely inappropriate in making jokes about me opening up about a bereavement and stuff related to it, which I am happy to talk about and possibly have that be an interesting discussion about such things, then I suspect nobody will be able to explain to you why this so, in addition to being not funny at all.

What a shame, it was an interesting discussion while personalities were being kept in check.
