January 5, 20215 yr The big thing in the gaming industry is to have an open world. There is quite a few games out there who have a fairly large map of their world. But nothing out there comes even close to modelling the entire world on a 1:1 scale. Not even close. Now the previous flight sim platforms of course do, but certainly dont have all the latest tech, visuals, and key word innovation built in. Sure there are many things that need fixing and improving, but its there. Something we have been crying for , for the last decade. Someone on facebook said MSFS is for gamers, P3D or XP for hard core simmers. Why? Im a hard core simmer. I have hardly used P3D, and use MSFS because I can use simbrief for my flight planning and OFP, have live WX, connect to Vatsim, connect to Navigraph for charts, and have a whole bunch more accurate visuals, and freeware that is very active. Whats missing is high fidelity aircraft, but I am enjoying the FBW A320x, and the team are doing an outstanding job improving every day. FMC works, and confident enough to take it on vatsim. In due time, the other aircraft will be released with high standards along with a slew of other projects like full on AI. So far, loving to use a modern flight simulation that actually looks and feels like 2020 rather than 2010. CYVR LSZH I7-14700k 64gb 6000Mhz DDR5 ASUS z690 ROG STRIX Gaming RTX 4080 Super,

January 6, 20215 yr I know plenty of guys that fly Airbus'es ... they can hand fly them all they want just fine it's a personal decision.... autopilots can fly us to minimums far better and rock steady than the human hand ... and most of the time our "get home itus" interfears with us wanting to hand fly all approaches.... when celings are above minimums, I hand fly the ILS.... for fun! Gotta be home, then it's an autopilot landing!
