LNM GPX elevation in Google Earth

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I'm trying to work out whether I hit a mountain during my SID departure using LNM GPX trail export. Here is the pic in GE:

I can work it out by mousing over the GPX trail but for some reason the GPX track straddles the terrain rather than showing the actual flight path elevation. It would be nice to visually see the flight path over the mountains. Has anyone a solution?

Thanks

The track part in LNM GPX contains the *flown* elevation. The route part in the GPX file does not. No idea what GoogleEarth does with this information.

You can be sure that a SID flown correctly abiding to the altitude restrictions will not take you into mountains.
