GTN 750 Radio Altimeter

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone knows where the 750 gets it's Radio Altimeter reading from.  Using 11.51rc1 and noticed that on the ground in one helo it reports 13ft. and another helo it's at 10ft but both panel radio altimeters are indicating 0ft.  Thanks...

So your saying that it calls itself a Radio Altimeter but gets it's data from what, subtracting the current locations height in the terrain database from the indicated height by the GPS maybe?

This is supposed to be based on the terrain DB if there is no external sensor.

But it is also supposed to be calibrated per aircraft. I'll have to review this specifically because I honestly don't remember how this was handled (it ever it was specifically handled in fact).
