MSFS VR and Pilot2ATC

Recommended Posts

Hi, since the release of VR for MSFS I have switched over to almost exclusively fly with the Reverb G2.

Since the native FS ATC is rather faulty and lacking I am looking for an alternative and Pilot2ATC seems the ticket to go.

An important question for me is whether the program interface can be displayed/used within VR. Can I see the maps, use the Say-it feature etc., or would I just be able to use it on the monitor for flight planning and once in VR would then have to depend on audio and voice-recognition alone?

You would need to find a program that enables bringing 2D Windows into VR for your environment.  In the STEAM VR environment, for example, there are several programs that work.  I use OVRDrop.

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to set up VR in MSFS, so I can't speak directly to your question.

Ok, thanks very much Dave. I'm actually running FS on WMR, but I will check things out. If nothing available at this time (which I believe is the case), then I hope MS or a third-party will come up in the future with such a utility for which there will certainly be lots of other good uses as well.

OVR Toolkit does the job for me but there is a bit of a learning curve. I find the native WMR desktop too unstable.
