Will my current Desktop Run Fsim 2020

Featured Replies

I have an older dell Desktop and noticed that there is a minimum specs requirement to run Fsim 2020. My processor is an Inter I7-3770 3.4ghz and the video card is an AMD Radeon hd7500. will this combination be able to run the 2020 Fsim? Thanks

Unsure about your Radeon Card but I m running FS2020 on a i5 procesor with a Nvidia 6GB 1060 on medium settings and it runs just fine with the GA aircraft but I cant run the airliners, I would think if you upgrade your card you will probably be good to go, somebody in here will advise you better Im sure, computers isnt my thing really.

Depends on how much memory the GPU has and how much main RAM you have, the processor is fine.

Your CPU is enough, and you will need at least 8GB RAM. However there is no indication that the simulator can start up or run correctly on a GPU using the TeraScale 2 architecture, which is not supported by AMD drivers anymore. And even if it can, the GPU is so weak that it would be a very unpleasant experience due to unplayable performance. Yours was released in 2013, but even in 2008 or so it would be considered underpowered to put this into perspective.

If you have Windows 10, enough RAM and a capable PSU, then you could go by with a newer used GPU (buying new is extremely difficult nowadays). But otherwise, I would strongly recommend to consider an older simulator, most of which are not nearly as GPU-heavy.

Regarding an upgrade, your PC's form factor is crucial in determining whether you can really upgrade or not, so if possible please post your exact system model or a picture of it for further advice.

Most Dell HD7500 were 1GB but even if it had 2 GB VRAM it is not enough and the card is way to slow anyway, they were basically being sold by that stage as a non-gaming productivity option.

Also the HD7500 is only DX 11 so it will be useless if the game ports over to DX12 anytime in the future.

The HD7500 is simply a non-starter.
