Addon/mod that you can set pause on TOD or x nm miles @dest?

Featured Replies

Just wondering if there is something out there that will let me auto-pause the sim when at TOD or x nm from my destination? I used to use FSUIPC for this in p3d and fsx but I cant find that function in the msf version.

@Lorby_SI Did Lorby Time Machine ever get updated for MSFS?  I seem to remember this was one of it's functions.

@ark has been working on a script the FSUIPC that will pause the sim after a certain amount of time.

That just takes a couple of minutes. But I have no idea if it can work with MSFS, if this sim reacts the same way to changes in the simulation rate (or at all).

If you want to try it, please send me a PM here-

Edit, just doing a flight from EDDM to EGKK with the Asobo Airbus, and the TimeMachine works. I've added the MSFS installer to the ZIP on the Lorby-SI website.

Btw - WAMA has been updated for MSFS too and is currently being tested. It has the same functionality, among other things.

Best regards

Fantastic, this was one program I loaded almost every flight in P3D so happy to see it in MSFS as well, thanks!

Downloaded this and it seems to work well but how do you un-pause it?  It just sits there as if its in active pause and I cant un-do it.

Thanks

Right. The pause toggle seems not to be assigned in MSFS by default. I didn't know that.

Go to the MSFS controller assignment and look for the "SET PAUSE OFF" event - assign it to a keyboard combo, like Ctrl&Shift&P or something. That should get you flying again.

@Lorby_SI, do I need to make a flight plan in the world menu before using the timemachine? I never use the flight planning from the world menu.

The Time Machine just needs a flight plan. I don't think that it matters where it comes from, but I have zero experience with this. I don't have any time left to actually fly in the sim...
