P3D V5.1 EA ground shadow

Recommended Posts

Anybody know if there is a way to deal with the horizontal line that acts as a ground shadow/filter which is present when using Enhanced Atmospherics? Here's a link to a screenshot The line I'm on about is highlighted in yellow.

Thanks,

Pete

This is a known issue, also LM is aware of this. You can do nothing about it (although I don´t know if turning off all shadows would help either?). Let´s hope they fix it. Marcus

Haven’t seen this on my systems. But perhaps I only didn’t notice it yet.

I have cloud shadows range maxed out but don’t know if that is working in EA mode.

I saw and see these on my end as well. This issue is probably also depending, guessing here, on some cameraviews and weather situations (cloudy conditions is a must) with EA mode on.

I had situations where there is a (fully) OC condition and the shadow showed up exactly below/downside your cameralocation/level (below is shadow and above is sunny).

This can happen at every FL or even on ground. I saw this above or below cloudy conditions and cloud levels

LM is aware of this.

Thanks Marcus. Probably because I am using a static VC views and never change the views I have not noticed it.

Yes that is what I also thought about it.

Where you heading to today Gerard (sim/virtually spoken) of course. I am on my way from EFHK to LEMG. As above spain there is some significant weather today (heavy jetstream and lots of rain).

Have a nice trip to Spain Marcus.

Today I have installed a second 1 Tb M2 in each system (already had 2 Tb M2s).

I now will move a lot P3D scenery to those M2s.

Then I will have enough space for both P3Dv5 and MSFS.

Tomorrow I will make a flight from Amsterdam to Istanbul in P3D.
