January 23, 20215 yr Yeah, it might prove to be worth the money after all. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
January 25, 20215 yr I'm running on a 780, everything on either low or OFF and still running at 1440p, addon airports can drop into single digits on some so I have to avoid those but yeah it still looks and performs better even with all settings down than other sims do and a lot of that has to do with the lighting which really changes the visuals dramatically compared to the competition. The only thing it struggles with big time is glass cockpits, particularly the large garmin types so GA gauges work best. I can still fly the a320 though coz its cockpit albeit complex is still a lot better on frames compared to a TBM or even a 172 with the g1000 suite. So even at minimum requirements I'm still enjoying it while saving up my pennies for an upgrade.

Framerates aren't great, and I can't fly into or run complex addons. It's all about compromise. Yep, you even have a speedy CPU as I am running on an i5-2500k (not oc'ed) with 8GB Ram (manual page file around 17GB fix) but I invested (interim and pretty low cost) in an MSI 1660s and that alone made a big difference, most gfx setting in high, some medium and still fluid (except areas like manhattan or excessive 3D areas even though I disabled photogrammetry as a trade off). primarily flying the modded neo around europe (bought way too many airports already via marketplace though I initially promised to stay away from them).
