January 27, 20215 yr Was flying planned route from YMNG to YMAV and then to YMML. Enroute to YMAV, the GTN750 commanded the autopilot to turn towards YMML, even though it was programmed to go to YMAV. The picture says it all. Is this normal behaviour?
January 30, 20215 yr Found it: It tries to calculate upfront the turn at YMAV, to sequency YMAV to YMML. If that calculation for the sharp turn in your plans, depending on your speed, it gives an ealy turn to the next leg, which in your case goes to your final destination. So it does not go to the YMML airport because it is an airport, it just goes to the next leg via a pass-by waypoint you defined as YMAV Edited January 30, 20215 yr by PeterBremer
January 30, 20215 yr The solution: Define a hold at YMAV by selectig YMAV and "Hold at Waypoint" with inbound track 029 (next track) When the hold entry has started, press "unsuspend" to exit when passing YMAV for second time, to then proceed to YMML Edited January 30, 20215 yr by PeterBremer
