Thanks for the heads up.  I usually wait a few days before updating drivers to see if people are reporting improvements.  Do these drivers address the RAM resizing, bcause I thought that might be interesting.

I've just got my system and msfs running perfectly on the current drivers and would hate to be taking a step backwards.

That said, Nvidias drivers have not caused any major issues of late.

If someone has experience of how these software / drivers perform in MSFS, I would like to hear it.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I did a little test tonight and compared some popular drivers, I used TBM 930 at the same airport, time and weather condition, first the oldest 451.48, then the game release driver 452.06, and the priced 457.30 that I have used so far, as well as the latest 461.40, and I could not notice any difference between them, either in fps or smoothness, so I will keep the latest driver and try it during slightly longer flights in different conditions.

Not too happy. Saw an increase of CTD, primarily while or right after loading a flight. Took a couple of reboots to get the neo in the air again. Well, could be one of these msfs mysteries. Or stupid me not following the advice not to change a running system. My bad then

Well the VR people are saying to stay with 4.57 or so for VR but for the rest of us the current releases seem fine.

Though TBH most of the fixes and updates are for other games not MSFS. If you are just playing MSFS and no other games there is probably no benefit updating.

Probably true, though I do like to have the peace of mind that my Windows, system, graphics and msfs are all up to date.

Yes. After doing tests some tests on my current ones (461.09), I will use the driver cleaner and install the recommended older one, and see if I get any improvement (frame limiter turned off of course).

Sadly, this will not be of any use for the guys with the newer 30xx series cards, as I believe they will need the newer drivers, but my 1080Ti should be alright.
