Very much mixed results then Think I'll stay with 20.8.3 until something forces me to update or the consensus is that the timeouts are fixed.

Are you saying you're not getting timeouts with 20.8.3 ?

Does anyone know if the timeouts are fixed yet?

I don't know - I still haven't dared try anything newer than 20.8.3. Hopefully someone else can chip in.

Me neither. Everything is working so well with that driver I’d hate to jinx it.

Same here. I remember in the FSX, P3D days, getting the latest drivers was always fraught with peril. Once I got a driver that worked, I stayed with it for years.

I tried last months updated drivers, and the driver timeout was back. I have remained on 20.8.3 since, with no issues other than the sim issues we all see.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

I think I will stay with what I’ve got for now then. Thanks.

I have been stable with 21.2.2, might be different for each person depending upon their total system specs,

I've rolled back with to 20.9.1 and it's better but not perfect. I can do 12hr flight in p3d v4.5 and play Farcry 5 at the same time but reboot clean and to FS and it's 1 out of 3 or 4 short flights so trying to do anything with Career mode add ons is useless.

Hmmm... RX5700XT here too. I'm at the current 21.3.2 but getting rare CTDs. But mostly while doing things in parallel and switching tasks. While in flight and concentrating on sim I usually do not get CTDs. Perhaps I will try 20.8.3 too and report back...

Cheers

The driver issue normally shows up as a Driver timeout error. You may be suffering CTD's from other issues, which can range from both Payware, and freeware addons.. I have seen both cause problems from experiance.

I have a one week old system

I7-10700kf with AMD Radeon RX 6700xt 12GB vram

I'm getting tons of CTD's

I have driver version 27.20.22001.14011

I'm on hold to cyberpowerPC to try to get them to swap it out for an Nvidia card - no more AMD stuff for me...

Ciao!
