Trouble with shifted functions

Recommended Posts

I've read several posts but I'm just not getting the idea.

I'm flying the Maddog with the Honeycomb yoke; I have one of the left yoke switches set up for 'AP hdg decfast' and 'AP HDG incr fast'. What I would like to do is use another yoke button as a shift, so that the same left yoke switch will then perform 'AP hdg dec' and 'AP hdg incr'. I can't make it work... screenshots attached and help is appreciated.

For the Shifted function to work you need to apply the 'shift' function to both the Unshifted and Shifted pages (eg. LOCAL SHIFT on button 1) for OnPress and OnRepeat. This is so that the shift is applied continuously when the button is held pressed.

Then, the required functions are also assigned to the OnPress and OnRepeat actions. The slow on the Unshifted page and fast on the Shifted page. In this example I have used the slow and fast elevator trim functions.

Shifted Settings - note - OnRepeat should read upfast/dnfast.

Do the functions work on their own? I would need to see the logging. Please read and follow the fault diagnosis procedure under LINDA Support and email me the logs.

You will need to operate the buttons and shift.

Thank you for the logs. There is something very wrong with the device assignments in config-hid.lua. Looking at the config-hid.lua you should have JSTK for the OnPress and JSTKrp for the OnRepeat. The JSTK2 and JSTK2rp stand for the Shifted OnPress/OnRepeat. These should be in pairs.

Also you have an extra utility Buttons.Fly running that may be interfering with LINDA's functionality.

"extra utility Buttons.Fly"

I am not sure what you are referring to?

I did edit the .lua file as a text file and save back to .lua. Things are working better now; thank you.
