Strange behavior of Cessna during flights from EDDL to EDDK

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have been experiencing this strange behavior.
Every time, when I do a flight from EDDL to EDDK.
Approximately, 10 min after takeoff, there is a lot of moisture condensed on the windshield.  What is even worse is that the aircraft begins to descend even the throttle is at 100%.

Anyone has similar experiences?

I just looked at EDDL metar which reports  +8C. Standard lapse rate ~-2C per 1000ft. So around 4000 ft or so expectation of freezing layer. What altitude did you cruise? Were the clouds by any chance?

That is easily answered - no airplane based in Duesseldorf wants to go to Koeln and will do anything to avoid that! 😂

Was flying at 3500 feet and yeah there were plenty of  cloud.
Will try turning on Carb heat and see if it helps..

I've never seen condensed moisture on the windscreen in MSFS. Are you sure it isn't ice?
This time of year flying you really need to fly an aircraft with anti-icing system (not many GA have this) in Europe, or be able to stay away from clouds. The icing is perhaps overdone in MSFS, but it is a killer in real life as well. If I were a real pilot, I doubt I would risk a flight in an aircraft without anti-ice in the current weather conditions.

I confirmed that it was icing problem when the aircraft entered into a cluster of cloud.
