February 15, 20215 yr A massive update due for this in about 24 hours. I really like this plane and the developer seems very responsive. The new repaints look great as well (22 liveries now), and there are also superb repaints from Jan and a few others on flightsim.to. There is also the PAN model added as promised, as used by the Frecce Tricolori. The change log is too long to post here, but it is clear that a lot of work has gone into producing this aircraft and improving it in just 2 weeks. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sim-skunk-works-fiat-aeritalia-g-91-released/358285/306 Edit: Just to add, after reading the extensive update notes more closely, this is superb - It covers all of what I wanted and a lot more. March 4, 20215 yr Author Post from the devs: Quote I did a mistake considering to be able to roll back without any change made by users, evidently Asobo changed something else. Fortunately it’s enough edit the flight_model.cfg (suggest to use an editor with line numbers such as notepad++) at line 164 to read:lift_coef_flaps = 0.71; restored as per 1.13.17 to roll back correctly. Try and test: it gets airborne at about 130 kcas now it shows lateral instability and sink at about 110 kcas with full flaps and lgear down. For those users not familiar with file editing please write us at [email protected] , we will send a modified flight_model.cfg Apologize for any inconvenience. BTW I would have hoped that Asobo would correct two major bugs: exaggerated prop wash effect (ridicoulus in jet engines) that is apparently hard coded exaggerated gyro drift, unrealistic on jets p-factor applicable only to propellers, even if in the G-91 helps to replicate the lateral instability at high aoa of back-swept wings.
March 4, 20215 yr I love this jet, but I think they still need to fix the strange curved heat plume effect out of the back. It's minor issue in my book, and it is good value with all of the variants and load-out options. but hopefully they will just give it a little bit more polish before they move on to the F-104, and hopefully, the F-86 Sabre! April 1, 20215 yr Author So the G91 has made it to the marketplace but minus the weapons and gunsight, Apparently marketplace aircraft are required to be demilitarised - who would have thought it. Soooo ... if you want a gunsight and some bombs to drop make sure you buy the Just Flight version not the marketplace one. It is definitely a fun aircraft to fly but a real handful to land especially with a full tank and some ordinance on the pylons.
