Carenado X-Plane FMS Problems

Recommended Posts

Recently, when using the X-Plane FMS with both the Carenado Premier and Citation II the X-Plane FMS will flash on and off and then the aircraft will crash.  This does not happen with any non-Carenado aircraft.

I am waiting a response from Carenado.  Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I know this is not going to help, but. This is Carenado we are talking about. I must say, they are beautiful to look at though.

Their Saab340 is pretty good. (p3d less so). It's not a complex creation but it is kind of fun just to crank up and go for a flight. Not in the league of LES Saab 1.6. Former rw Saab pilot here.

Is the real Saab as nervous around the pitch axis as Carenado's?

Also, what's missing from/wrong on the Carenado bird?

Pitch sensitivity....I find XP11 in general to be really pitch sensitive...Possibly because I haven't taken the time to play with the settings. The real Saab I never thought was overly sensitive.

Nothing wrong with the Carenado saab except it appears targeted to a different type of simmer. One more casual I think is the way to put it. Again not knocking it as it's a great creation to choose to go for a quick flight.

The Les Saab I feel could be used to help with staying sharp in the real machine if you were flying it only occasionally or were new to it. There is a sense of immersion here.

Just my thoughts only. Both are great for their intended market.
