Learner 2.0

Recommended Posts

PSXseeconTraffic 21.8 contains Learner 2.0:

Learner 2.0 is better in line with PSXseeconTraffic and shares its code.

Learner2.png

New

You may enter multiple airports separated by comma’s and specify a duration in minutes.

Learner will start with the first airport and then after the defined number of minutes it will switch to the next automatically.  If it has done the last of the series it will start with the first one again. The number of minutes may be set between 5 and 10080 (= 1 week in minutes).

This multiple airport option is handy to let Learner learn a few of your favourite airports in one go, without having to pay attention.

You may of course still enter just one airport, Learner will than run until you exit the program.

Thanks.  Little buggy.  It won't recognize CYYZ or CYTZ.  Also...Once you input codes, you cannot edit them unless you exit and restart.

Can't check helicopters.

Edit: Codes work if you use ALL CAPS.  But still can't check helicopters. I wonder if that is because there are no helicopters in MSFS?

ICAO airport codes are always in ALL CAPS ...

You can edit your input in the textbox of the UI until you press Enter. When Learner runs you can still edit the textbox and press enter without exiting Learner...

If you have no Helicopter liveries installed in your Sim, PSXseeconTraffic and Learner will disable the checkbox, same for light aircraft.

So no bugs at all... but I'll change the input to uppercase automatically, for people like you. 😉

Using Capital letters is no problem to do.

In PSXT when typing the ICAO of the arrival airport I alway use small letters and it works as a charm...

Yes for the destination airport I convert your lower case input to upper case, will do that in Learner (2.1) too.
I also have added a wild card option in 2.1. If you type an asterix only it will take all the .xml files in parked_updates one by one. The first airport in that row is selected randomly so it will not always start with the same airport.

It is getting better day every day, thanks to covid19 😉

Please read the Manual, section 7.5 last paragraph:

"You cannot run Learner and PSXseeconTraffic at the same time while they both need the Data Provider, unless you install and run everything at a second PC/laptop of course."

Why would you run both programs at the same time? PSXseeconTraffic has exactly the same learning capabilities. Learner is a subset of PSXseeconTraffic that does not need a Sim Connection.
