Are the updates always so big? So after a while my SSD will hit 1TB for MSFS?

LOL it should be not over 150GB, with an emtpy community folder!

Are the road markings new, or did I not notice that earlier?

It seems like you're flying over a patch of landclass. Have you enabled Bing Data?
If you do, then it might be a cloud cover patch to mask baked in clouds.

Whoa, I didn't realize how close these two Liverpool grounds are to each other.

A couple of even closer grounds are Dens Park and Tannadice in Dundee, Scotland.

May all your landings be safe ones!

It's a great advertisement for the Microsoft Cloud that they can't even seem to provision some extra bandwidth on the CDN for these big updates.

I guess people will always have something to nitpick about...

They look like road overlays that sit on top of the ortho? If that’s the case that’s good! Gets rid of the flat cars on the satellite image. I was just talking about this today. XP11 has it

I wonder if it’s just in the U.K. or if it’s worldwide.... ?

Looks like you're in offline mode there?

Yes, finally having textured roads would be so nice.

Quick flight in the C208 form EGLL.  Initial impression: amazing scenery.  Getting 30-35 FPS in a RTX 3070 at ultra settings and the usual crappy weather for UK in winter. Frame limited by CPU, so switching to high setting only increased FPS by 5.

I get this message when I want to start the update in the Places market. microsoft flight simulator version 1.13.16.0 required. But when starting the Sim, no update is found when checking.

Welcome to the club...

Do let me know if you find a cure for this.

Try restarting Steam completely, to make sure Steam does its update of the base sim files.

The Marketplace content is ~4GB based on a screenshot someone posted on the MSFS forums.

Maybe they did. I was getting 250Mbps down over WiFi.

Take a guess how many concurrent downloads were taking place. Hundreds? Thousands?

Thanks but I bought it from the MS Store. Meaning it's not a Steam issue in my case.
