February 19, 20215 yr Im guessing this will be quite the hit since there is such a lack of variety in decent airliners. If the 737 MAX can get so much attention with far less systems fidelity, the CRJ will be commanding a whole lot more attention, starting with streamers showcasing it before its released probably. Look forward to it. The FBW A32N is fantastic, free, and been flying it alot, but would like to fly some good variety now. I must have been napping under a rock again. I hope you are not thinking the Piper Arrow is anything similar to the CRJ. Must be the 146 Professional. My best guess for the AS CRJ release is next Tuesday/Wednesday. Regards, When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

I would think just the opposite might be true. Of course, that is a lot of seats for a Lear and all those passengers would probably complain about the head room. When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

Of course, that is a lot of seats for a Lear and all those passengers would probably complain about the head room. It has its origins in the LearJet in the mid 70s. Canadair and Lear were developing the LearStar 600, but then Canadair bought out Lear from the project and went for Canadian Government funding instead to progress with the design, which basically remained the same as what Lear had come up with, apart from moving the horizontal stabiliser up into a T-Tail config to get it clear of the engines, and this design changed its name to the Challenger 600. However, six years after it was certified and eight years after it first flew as a prototype, Canadair went bust and were bought by Bombardier, who renamed the jet the Bombardier Global Express and sold loads of them, as well as making a slightly shorter-range version which became the first variants of the Bombardier CRJ, having subsequently been stretched into larger versions. So the CRJ started out as a Learjet and it does kind of look like one even, the 1000 variant. You can see that if you look at the original drawings for the LearStar 600, as well as the windscreen surround and its general shape on the CRJ being a bit of a clue as to its LearJet origins as well when you see them up close. This is what Mathijs Kok posted a couple of hours ago. Well you will love the 'Come Fly With Me' tutorial videos... TheDude is a fantastic teacher and as he has thousands of hours at the helm of CRJ even knows what he is talking about. https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/forum/1061-come-fly-with-me-by-the-dude/ As we said, we know this will be for many people the first seriously complex aircraft, and for many even their first flight simulator. So we will do a lot to assist. I hope you will eventually come around on this one. Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
February 20, 20215 yr Ray- I’m cautiously optimistic and eager to hear from you once you’ve spent a few hours in her (can I say that?). 🙂 C Best- Carl Avari-Cooper
February 20, 20215 yr Aerosoft have a lot riding on this one; I'm pretty sure they'll have made something which is good. Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Yeap, not very optimistic about this one just because its past P3D history and let's see, when it's finally released, how good and functional it'll be. I prefer to wait and see and not to be too excited about it. If you consider the excellent renditions of the Cessna Citation CJ4 by Working Tittle and the FBW A320 in its different versions (stable, dev and experimental), you'll notice the CRJ will not be the first complex aircraft for this sim and many people I'm pretty sure are already enjoying them as much as I am, and probably you too. The only difference is these last two are surprisingly good freeware developments that continue to evolve and only getting better and better over time. Also, the WT G1000 and G3000 mods included in several stock aircraft have helped substantially to improve them very much, and can keep you busy if you try to use them at their full capabilities. Let's see if the time is right for the CRJ in MSFS, and hopefully it'll be a good addition to the existing fleet when it's finally released, not sure when. Take care. February 20, 20215 yr If you like the CJ4 then I would expect the CRJ to at least be as good and enjoy the added benefits that can only be achieved by having a plane designed from the ground up rather than having to mod an existing one. While watching Filbert's tutorial on the CJ4 along with one of its devs the other day it was mentioned that the dev behind the CJ4's flight model is the same person responsible for the CRJ's one.
