Looks like it, but it seems I have a newer version of CYHZ.  Mine shows ver 1.1.47

I got no email of any update. How do I get the latest update? Let me try getting a reload of the download to see if that has fixed this issue. Thanks for that information.

This  is what Pissees me off. simaddons have srl# that is a paragraph long 35-45 char long? why? and when I try entering it from my purchase ack email, I am unable to proceed. The "Next" button wouldn't work. Its greyed out like I am entering an erroneous srl# Sigh! For a 10$ addon its locked up like Fort Knox? sheesh!

I just got an e-mail from Sim Market saying there is a TNCM 1.4 version file uploaded. Not sure if that would fix the issue of SimAddons bug .. But When I went to Sim Market I still can only find the TNCM 1.3 not the 1.4 version  of the tile..

The file is updated to 1.4 even though it is labeled as 1.3.  Silly but confirmed by Simmarket support.  They somehow forgot to re-label the file.

Yes. Simaddons, (Ralph) does seem to have strong protections on his scenery.  If you ever need to re-install, you have to email him for new registration numbers. They only work one time. I have had to do it a few times when I upgraded my PC and re-installing Simaddons and P3D. Its a real pain, but he does respond with a day.

Thank you.

I am mad cause I just spent 4-5 hour debugging the  bug with his addon and then I run into this.

Hmmm...Checkerboard beach!

Those squares are for social distancing.  Incredible that they have intentionally avoided that area, and that none of them are wearing masks!

I don't blame you for being mad.

You can go to his website and under contacts, you will find his support forum.  On the registered support forum, you can download updates in the MSFS area.

He did come out with a SimAddons manager for P3Dv5. Hope he comes out with one for MSFS, so we don't have to chase down updates.

Good luck

WOW. Intereting. Do you have the exact same folders that I posted with screenshot?

Capture.jpg

I have the exact same simmaddons scenery, same version as you, same files enabled in addons linker, and no checkerboard beach at TNCM. What I don't have is any TNCM addon scenery. That scenery does look good though.

I installed the latest TNCM and Ralph from Simaddons sent me the new SRL# and I installed his latest CA Sceneries. But my checkerboard beach is still there.

I guess I have to live with this. When flying to the Caribbean, I have to unlink the SIMADDONS. Oh well!

Let both developers know. Either or both are guilty of some corner cutting that is causing a conflict. It should not happen and you should not have to accept this. These are payware and developers should follow the scenery design ‘rules’ to prevent this. I suspect that Simaddons is at fault - are these not ported FSX era sceneries? In such case they are already cutting corners.

Purely out of curiosity, does anyone know what causes the checkerboard pattern?  A corrupted texture, missing texture, or what?

I am now having issues as well since updating to V 1.4 . I use the addon linker so it's easy to locate faults.  I updated this morning after recieving the email from Simmarket this morning. Now with only V1.4 loaded into the community folder CTD. Instantly seconds after pressing fly. What's even more puzzling is i then removed the v 1.4, and re-installed the prevoius version whcih was working prior to the update, and guess what CTD!

Roll back to default and all is fine... Now keep in mind this is without any other addon loaded into the comm folder...off to email the dev..

That checkerboard is difficult to explain, I have AWD-TNCM and all good here, with no issues, lots of people waving out at the beach, as always.

Sometimes people add too many things, too many types of add-ons to their community folder without knowing or suspecting about the potential impacts, and things like that could happen. You need to know what you're doing.

It's no big deal unless you want to fly from those airports in Canada to St. Martin. I usually just enable LatinVFR KMIA & the Caribbean airport I'm flying to or the entire Caribbean and nothing else. That saves loading times and the headaches that come from mod incompatibilities.
