REVIEW: ORBX Sandefjord (Oslo Torp - ENTO)

Recommended Posts

Excellent review! I was wondering whether you'd be reviewing this airport anytime soon, and it's one of the few that I actually bought before seeing your review of it.

This airport is like a second home airport to me, having flown into it 40+ times, and they've done a fantastic job of it. The airside,  interior and landside parts are very authentic.

A couple of things to point out / answer from your review:

  • The runway was resurfaced in the last year or so. Previously it had yellow markings, but now they have been changed to white.

  • The curved illustrated wall inside the terminal houses the large Duty Free shop on the other side of it.

  • The real apron in front of the terminal is pretty dark at night as well, so they've got the lighting pretty right in that respect. Also, the floating orbs of light don't appear every time.

The airport costs very little compared to many other addons, and it's a great destination, serving lots of European and Norwegian destinations (pre-covid times, at least) and it's a very busy GA airport too, with the local flying school.

Nice review, I own it and I fly to the airport a lot as I'm flying mostly in Scandinavia, right now I am patiently waiting for ORBX to release Stockholm Bromma (ESSB).

Bromma looks like it’s going to be pretty special.

Thank you. Someone had pointed out the resurfacing of the runway in one of the YouTube comments, so I've made that clear in the description. The rest I was unaware of though. Glad you enjoyed the review and, more importantly, are enjoying the airport. :-)

Yes, I'm very excited about Bromma! Everything Marcus Nyberg has done to date has been outstanding, and I'm sure this will be too. Plus, I love the CJ4 and can think of no better route for it than London City to Bromma :-)

@mrfilbert Regarding the snow ploughs, here's your answer. The long section swivels round to provide a large brushing mechanism.

I think maybe we need a Snow Plough Simulator add-on!😁

EGLC is my latest favorite. Love the steep approach over London. On Bromma, I understand it’s in development already. What makes it look so special?
