General Aviation AI

I'm running with World of AI that when installed will make default AI disappear. Is there a way to bring back default GA AI with World of AI? Or, is there some good GA AI out there to install in FSX?Thanks in advance.Rake

You can download "worldga.zip". Works great. I'm using it with World of AI. It uses default GA planes for traffic. Or you can download Markus Brunner's excellent "GA-Traffic" which will give you way more options for GA traffic. I used that in FS9. I could have just copied over my "GA-Traffic.bgl" file from FS9 but I was using some payware GA planes as AI and I don't think FSX can take the hit to frame rates.Jim

Nope all you have to do it this:INSTALLATIONFor a fast and easy installation, copy the file 'Traffic-GAweekly.bgl into your ...sceneryworldscenery folder. That's it!Jim

Do you have to do the same thing in FSX? What did you do to your default traffic file in FSX after unsing world ga?

Yes, it installs exactly the same in FSX. You don't have to do anything with the default traffic file. When you install an FS9 type traffic file, including World of AI or worldga, FSX will just ignore the default traffic file.If at some point you remove your added traffic files, then FSX will once again use the default traffic file.Jm

I use the Traffic Data Base Builder (TDBB) from the Environment SDK to generate GA traffic using a hotch potch of aircraft from FS9, Avsim etc. As the TDBB compiles a bona fide FSX BGL rather than an FS9 one, the new BGLs are compatible with the default BGLS and aircraft (so they do not disappear). However, I do not use the default Aircraft because they seem to load up the system more than aircraft designed for the AI job. Th only issue I have is that the TDBB from FSX seems to compile the BGLS at a slower rate than the FS9 version but they do work and the TDBB can give some control regarding Touch and Goes, IFR flights etc.
