Aerosoft CRJ being released on March 16th

As we know from past experience, MSFS YT promoters should be taken with a grain of salt, I will be waiting for em... how should I put it, I'll wait for "real world" reviews this time round.

LOL. If you are referring to the videos from „The Dude“: He is a real world CRJ pilot...

I've been watching a couple of Twitch streamers recently who were among the chosen few to go to Seattle who appear to now almost loathe MSFS and it's current issues, but were all aboard the hype train pre and immediately post release!

I'm still fully on-board with MSFS by the way, whilst not being blind to it's shortcomings - but the change in attitude from pre-release to post-release amongst the chosen few is noticeable 😄

Did someone else notice that oscillation on climb in pitch/speed mode? Gives me MSFS default autopilot flashbacks. It's by far not that pronounced, but still annoying. Unless it's deliberate as the real aircraft does it as well... 😄

Happy with MSFS 🙂

I find it knee-slappingly funny how folks tout the fact that you have to input a flight plan and select sids and stars as some kind of magical art that once mastered separates you from the peasants.

Congratulations, you've learned how to punch six different line select keys and hit execute. Yeah, you bad!

You've managed to control the plane's throttle so you don't overspeed during cruise? Wow, that's gangsta level word not allowed right there!!

As I've already explained, I have very little time for simming, usually no more than a couple of hours on the weekends. Time I prefer to be actually (virtually) flying. So it's a time saver for me to be able to load a flight plan into the FMS.

I don't think anyone here brags about how good they are by pluging a flight plan in the FMS just that it is how the plane is used in the real world and so it is not an issue to do the same in our simulated world.

After all it's a simulation, it's the whole point no ? Trying to recreate the real things.

yeah i mentioned it previous page back - let's hope that is resolved for release, it's pretty ugly

Don't they have stored company routes IRL, so you would only enter SID / STAR, etc.?

That's something they should definitely address. After all it's payware.

For those concerned about no simbrief integration, it may be a conflict of interest for them since they do publish and sell PFPX for flight planning.  Nevertheless, its still rather easy. Use simbrief and export it as a PLN file then in the MSFS load screen, load the FP.  Not that difficult. Then adding in a SID STAR if necessary and rwy. In either case, you have to check the FP anyhow for accuracy.  Eventually there will be  a way to download the simbrief plan in aerosoft format like we did with the previous AS aircraft in P3D. They cant ignore so many people using simbrief.

Nobody is ignoring anybody here. At the moment it just can not be done with the sandbox structure MSFS implements. Also an MSFS flightplan does not work in this sandbox environment.

As soon as it is possible, mods will not work either, I am sure AS will implement it as it is an important option for the casual player.

I don't think so that is the reason. Mathijs mentioned in one comment they can't add it since WASM in MSFS is still locked for outside communications with internet. However, he mentioned this will be added soon, reference:

But at least we can import the flightplan (that you can download from SB) as you mentioned in Aerosoft forums, thus for me is not a big deal as we have been doing this since forever with other add-ones in X-Plane as well as P3D 😄

Then explain how FBW are able to do it.

Did not know the airbus is a 100% WASM product.

Because their implementation is 100% in Javascript gauge which allows outside world communication, whereby WASM (C++), as this moment doesn't allow outside world communication. Anyway, as Matjias, this will change as Asobo sooner or later will enable outside communication from WASM.
