List: What should be fixed with a next release of P3D

Featured Replies

My wishes

  • Undulating terrain? The scenery of airports looks arcadish due to the very flat surface. We had this issue in FS2000 and still do. Fascinating
  • TruSky has already been mentioned. Maybe they can fix it one year later?
  • New sound engine. This is an area where P3D can improve on greatly.
  • New Nav database. Let Navigraph or other equivalent update the core nav database.

I also would like to see ATC incl. SID and STAR.... This would eliminate and external Addon needed for that. As I fly in VR I don't like lots of other tools running.

ATC should not be a priority. Default ATC is rubbish, but reworking it is a massive project and currently best left for external programs (Pilot2ATC, which works great in VR).

LM needs to focus on getting EA up to speed. More cloud variety, seeing if they can fix the black object issue (with non-PBR autogen, this isn't their fault but it's practically a big problem as many devs haven't updated), more variety with sunrise/sunset colors (the current bright colors are OK, but not for every sunrise!).

EA is great - it finally makes the sim look next-gen - but has enough quirks that it puts many users off trying it.

@OzWhiteyI agree Rob.  Default ATC is terrible and better handled by third party apps.  I vote for EA fixing.  They may have declared it out of beta last release, but I still consider it very much beta.

Unless you all go to Lockheed Martin main gates to present the list of fixes you wish, they will never know about it.. you all need to get banging at their doors.. I always pass them my advice to them of course, but I think they need to see that what I have been asking them to do is for a reason.....

Agreed.

All I want is some decent, grown up realistic scenery.

No it is not. Not getting a reaction does not mean they don´t read your posts!

Trust me on this!

It is always good to post over there.

I am very vocal over at LM. I know that they read. But everyone should chime over there too.

Your "customer power" should not be underestimated. EVEN NOT at LM (as a military company)! 😉

If you want more bulbs on top of the current more flat clouds and you have FSGRW :

Go to Tools  / General Settings

Weather Depiction Realism -> set the value lower like 30-50%
