Your post is utterly lacking in context and you know it is so just stop with the semantics already. I know your specific setup includes all that night lighting you purchased from that individual whom we cannot mention (with good reason as his business is terrible).

So you forgot to add "with a few hundred dollars of add-ons ". I'm talking about default redo.

Ok. P3D default light is really bad indeed. But almost everyone here is using ORBX Base and even more detailed add-ons from them too.

With ORBX Base it looks fine I think. That is not hundreds of dollars and covers the whole globe and this counts for almost every simmer here as most of us are using ORBX Base.

Or did I misunderstood your post above?

Let's be respectful here. No need to get harsh I think.

Orbx does indeed help and I have that. Gerard has that certain developer night lighting that costs literally hundreds of dollars. What I'm saying is LM needs to step up their out of the box night lighting to compete with MSFS. Their current iteration is just not good at all.

I do not really agree on this last part. Because I think they won't get much more customers with this as ORBX covers this already and most of us know this....I learned it very quick as a newcomer 3 years ago....

But of course it would be nicer if the standard would deliver a more up to date view....

And I do like the night lighting Gerard shows here.....I also have some of them. It is good to have more than 1 option. Nothing wrong with it.

You must not share this opinion. All fine. Different people different meanings.

I think there's quite a range of things that one could argue LM could do better with, and they'd probably agree.  But they have a limited resource of people and time, so they can't do everything.  Besides, their philosophy has always been to enable Devs to leverage new features, not to try to include everything themselves.  I actually think that's the right approach and they've got it a lot more right than wrong.  Sloped runways is one of the few examples where they've added base SIM functionality in a poor implementation.  I'd rather buy Orbx Global than expect LM to do worldwide night lighting, just my perspective...

THIS....

Let's see and watch what will happen as MSFS implements the Open Source Freeware Market......out of the box.....Not really 3th party friendly. But very off topic here. So I should get back to the topic.

Yes...LM is working hard with a small team.....And run a huge Plattform with a very huge SDK

Go get some fresh air, That will help cooling down your temper.

All Addons  I have , being it airports, aircraft or countries or objects or weather programs help with improving the sim.

The virgin P3D is a base on which everyone can build the sim he/she likes.

You cannot expect LM to add it all....

Btw : no issues on my side with the individual you are referring too. If your approach is like your last post I can imagine that you will have a bad experience over there...

My approach was straightforward and even keeled. Sorry if you like to be buttered up first,  I don't do that. I have no "temper"..lol. And if you feel there are no issues with him, then why is he banned from Avsim?

Secondly, your original retort would leave a reader unfamiliar with your set-up to think your comment was referring to the default lighting as you specifically did not mention that it cost you more money to purchase the night lighting than the actual sim itself or that he keeps charging you every year for "support ".

I agree that right now they should focus on getting EA up-to-speed.

I also think @kevinfirth has a good idea, that they should release, as a part of the SDK, some sort of tool to allow for relatively easy terrain mesh modding of airport areas.

Totally agree on that. Now individuals are making all kind of good tools. See FsDeveloper ...

However, I think that the primary P3D market is not us but large companies. If they would ask for new features that would make a bigger impression...

I am not going to discuss a ban but I do have an opinion on it...

Regarding charging for support : that is after a certain time. And you will get all new updates. Many software developers let you pay for a license, mostly annual. That includes all support.
Go buy Office 365 : only by license ..

With just one product already you can make the sims night lighting look better. That I have all packages is my choice.

Avsim I like and his products too and both sides are good to me.

And that’s all that counts to me.

Nah the fact you're both here means there can't be anything about to drop, or you'd be too busy testing it 😛

don´t even think about. you would be banned immediatly from everywhere. Even from our hearts. You would even wiped out of the history and you would never ever have a chance to enter the simhaven some day. Bear in mind it´s more satisfiing to give than take.😇
