Pixelated Clouds

Recommended Posts

I've noticed pixelated clouds making a return lately, even in Ultra. I'd hoped I'd seen the end of that happening.

Yep, thanks. Figured it out. Wonderful modification. Don't know why I didn't do it ages ago; Prop blur gone, grainy engine cowling reflections/ wing underside graininess gone. Clouds - lovely, etc.

You might need to mark the file as "read only" to prevent the file from changing back the figures to default.

Try, in notepad open file named UserCfg.opt

Disable  Sharpen and FilmGrain - save changes and run msfs.

Thanks, I'll give that a go.

It was AppData>Local>Packages>Microsoft.Flight Simulator_*************>LocalCache>UserCfg.opt for me, but I have my (MS Store) MSFS installed on my E: drive. I backed up the original first by adding ".ORIGINAL" to the file extension.

I miss a more distinct variety of clouds w/ sharper edges, and various cirrus patterns, but outside of that it's pretty amazing.  This is a favorite screen capture over my home town area of Denver Colorado:
