I've been using the V4 version for my V5 setup and it's very good actually, wonder what they are bringing to this update.

The info from Simmarket indicates "Taxi2Gate just uploaded this preview screenshot to confirm that this huge airport will get updated visuals and layout to replace the previous P3D4 scenery released in 2017."

I too have been using the P3Dv4 version in v5. I just use Lorby Addon Mgr to map the scenery into v5 and it works surprisingly well.

Of course the BIG question will be, is this a free update or will it be a paid upgrade. Not sure what T2G's policy on this has been so far with other v5 updates?

Yes, but I would still like to hear more on the updates that have planned. PBR support by itself I would say is not a huge driver for me. Other updates to terminals, taxiways  etc would be more useful.

I doubt this will be free. More likely going to be version 2 of LFPG with upgrade fee for V4 customers.

For FSX P3DV3 users, there was a  6€ fee for upgrading to the P3DV4 version.

So I think it would be approximately the same for V5, unless there are big changes.

A fee of 6€ seems reasonable to me.

Whatever the fee will be, I expect it to be exactly what they did for what they with their VHHH - meaning a 12 Euro upgrade. 6 euro would probably be on the low side. Keep in mind that Simmarket takes money for compiling an installer, and some 30% of the purchase price. Keep in mind that the developer rarely gets all of what we pay as customers!

I’m excited though! I’d be very happy to have this as a proper v5 airport with PBR, and given the time and effort involved in doing those conversions with PBR and all, I think 12 Euros would be reasonable. It also looks as though there may be some added detail in the form of interiors?

Ah yes right Benjamin, I forgot the upgrade of 12 euros (14.4 incl. VAT) for VHHH.

Simmarket charges € 6 exl VAT per product for putting them in the Simmarket installeren.

So a € 6 update fee for airports will put € 0 into the developers wallet...
